Started test fitting some parts to get an idea what I'm working with, but I'm still waiting on some hardware and gaskets to bolt the final parts onto the block.

I think the timing cover looks 10x better painted.

Oh, but what's this? A closer look at the turbo mani reveals a problem!?!?!?!?!?

I'M OFFENDED!
Medievel=ghettoness that was out for the ms3 for like a week before guy got roflpwnt by the masses for making shit like yours.

At least it says THUNDER on it. That should be worth something.

Ahh, I just know sometimes these shady vendors operate under multiple usernames.

I have seen some of that medieval shit up for sale on 247, but I don't think I'd even risk touching a PS pump pulley from that dude. And I will probably add Thunder to my list of Do Not Want products as well...

Medieval did switch to a couple other 'company' names but I don't recall Protephile being one of them.

Hopefully you can get that squared away post-haste.

Dammit! I have bought 3 different sets of snap-ring pliars but they have all been either too small or too wimpy to compress the retaining ring on the compressor so I can clock it.

I guess I'll start moving on to 90 degree needle nose pliars or something. Harbor freight, here I come.

do you know how large the one's you've used have been? Or how large the ring is that you need to remove, I have a couple different ones but not sure if they would be large enough.

Looks like that ring needs to be compressed inward not pulled apart right?

I've got one snap-ring plier that starts open at about 1.5" and compresses down to completely shut, and another that starts shut and pulls apart up to 1 3/8". I'm going to be in Spicer MN Tuesday/Wednesday this week but we could meet another night if you want to borrow em and give it a try.

Word. I'll probably look for a pair of beefy 90* needle nose pliars tomorrow (could use a set anyways), but if that doesn't work maybe we can figure something out later this week.

Well, I got a reply from Protephile this evening. He said he's had other people claim problems with fitment, but that if you get two opposite corners aligned, the rest of the holes should line up. Sure enough, I was just able to get it on all 10 studs. Given how far off it was when I took pics, I'm not even sure how that works (or how I couldn't figure it out for that matter)... but apparently there's enough slop in the hole size and placement that it works. I guess you get what you pay for.

Let the fail continue....

Also, removed the inserts from my side mount and my passenger mount is toast, hence the squeaking I was getting when taking off in 1st. Looks like it's time for some additional AWR goodness up top. This shit is getting expensive. lol

Ya know, for the time and money you have into this, and you're gonna get.... 200whp? Might as well stuff some suspension in it too lol.

I had 200whp at 8psi and no tuning. I'll be tuned and running probably 12psi on this turbo.

But yes, suspension is next on the list.

Probably going to be stuffing the motor in this weekend. Anyone free to give a hand in exchange for beer (or beverage of your choice) and pizza (or some similar foodstuff)?
