Mafia 4 - Night 2, Deadline 10/7 9pm

I'M OFFENDED!
Tom my point was/is that you helped contribute to a no-lynch Day 1, which is better for Scum than Town. And now you are advocating waiting until Friday to start coming up with our plan for who is getting the lynch.

First - this opens the door for anyone to have 'insert excuse here' come up and not have to vote again on Day 2, causing another no-lynch (potentially).

Second - I think if we have our plan but keep our voting till after lunch (or if you won't be around vote earlier) it allows whoever is on the receiving end (after we figure it out) to try and change our minds / somehow prove they don't deserve the lynch before the actual votes are cast. Rather than just deciding in a 10 minute window and all casting our votes.
Ok, from that perspective, I get it.

....sigh...So the concensus is that we would gain more by lynching Nate? Then I will join from a bandwagon perspective if we collectively think this will gainus the most information.

un-vote: AJ

Let's here some theories voters....

Unless I'm not understanding that, but you are saying you would vote for yourself, right?
Can you even do that?
That is exactly what I am saying. If one townie wins, we all win, so if I am able to vote for my self, the sacrificial "throw yourself on the grenade to protect your comrades" scenario, why wouldn't you? I have nothing to hide.

Well, there's two ways to look at it. Inciting paranoia is GENERALLY a bad idea. However, it can work. Think about it. You get everyone all wound up, people start making mistakes. There might be a clue in there... because if you start pointing a lynch at a scum, they're going to fight VERY hard to push it to a townie. If you VTL a Townie, they're going to fight just as hard to not lynch themselves. If a townie is going to be lynched, the scum is going to be cool as a cucumber, confident in the fact that the townies are toast.
I want to circle back on this one. In your opinion would you rather say paranoia or calm questioning? It seems day one stayed calm and the townies got nowhere. Now day two is starting to get a bit more mixed up and where do you stand on that?

I meant paranoia. If you start getting people all riled up over nothing, irrational things happen. Day 2, I'm not sure how I feel. I'm fairly confident we're not going to NL like day 1, but at the same time, I'm not so sure I like the whole "lets team up and kill someone a day early" tactic.

Do you realize we only have half a day left? And with the activity level of this forum likely a lot less than that. I personally am taking a half day so I'll be on until about noon and that's it. I likely won't be logging in tonight either since my nephews are in town and I'd rather spend time with them. Come on guys, pull it together! We need to come to a concensus 5 mins ago.

Josh is still my man with Nate being a close 2nd. Otherwise convince me to vote for someone else in the next hour.

Vote: Josh

Also, you stayed quiet after I joined for like 3 days, and you wanna investigate NOW? Why would you want to investigate when we need to lynch and kick back and relax when we need to investigate?

Because racecar. I've actually been watching this whole thing the entire time. I just said that now because that was the response to the question asked.

Big Nate

I don't work Fridays so I may pop on I may not. Now since Eddy has no other votes (at least that I saw). I am going to unvote Eddy and wait to see what others are going to do.

UNVOTE: EDDY

Answer my question. Why do you feel the need to investigate now on the brink of nightfall instead of 3 days ago?

SUDO Make me a SAMCH
I feel strongest towards voting Nate or Josh still, and Josh seems to have the most vote support among everyone so I will leave my vote there for now unless Town as a collective wishes to switch gears towards Nate, if someone other than those two I'll want to hear some good solid reasoning for it.

I'm also concerned about how Tom has played Day 2 in contrast to Day 1, and the fact that he still seems to not have any sense of urgency towards deciding on a Vote.

Ok skippy, let me get out the crayons and draw a chart.

I feel the urge to get curious now, particularly about you, because as time goes on, the more you push the vote. You're trying to rally everyone behind you under the guise of "We need to prevent an NL on day 2" A worthy cause to say the least. HOWEVER- in light of this continued action, trying to push everyone around, get them to vote a certain direction, and generally trying to get people to cave and follow YOU... I'm wondering if you aren't the scummy one here. You came in at a perfect time, everyone had just gotten stomped on d1, JT went down. D2 comes in, no ones really doing anything.... they're all WTF about the D1 deal (admittedly, I was too). Superhero Eddy comes in acting like he's going to save the day. WE HAVE TO DO IT BLAH BLAH BLAH. You wanted everyone to vote yesterday. Woulda been a perfect opportunity to have someone picked off due to the simple fact that mob mentality works around here. Everyone agrees we can't have NL again. This part is true. But if you're trying to cut a whole day off of investigation time, and representing it as we need to vote yesterday, we're gonna run into a situation where enough people are not paying close enough attention that you get your vote a day early, and then scum already has a plan in place. Seems kinda perfect.... doesn't it? Let scum direct traffic, and then pick off whoever is least likely to come off as scum at night, so they can continue to marionette the masses and kill off the more suspect types during the day, with towns votes.

Let me answer that for you. Don't mistake my lack of voting at this current time as "lack of urgency". I am well aware of the time frame we're in, and what needs to be done. What I am also aware of is the fact that Eddy is clearly trying to push for a vote a day early. While I'm damn sure that we need to get someone on the block here, I don't know that I like losing 24 hours to possible drive time. I was content to sit back and watch how other things played out, making observaitons and generally letting people do what they had to do. Obviously, my play on d1 did not pan out as expected, and I screwed the pooch on my vote. JT's dead. I figure, why not take a different approach to d2, and see what other people have to say? IMO, I probably let my judgement get a little clouded over what I percieved to be a critical error on JT's part, to the point I really wasn't focused on the end result. That's my fault. So I stepped down a little to get a better sense of the whole picture.

UNVOTE NATE
VOTE JOSH

Switching my vote. I don't have an extremely strong feeling that Josh is in fact scum, but I do have slight doubts on Nate as well.
This is a partial bandwagon vote, but I am ok with that because town does collectively need to come together to win this game.
I have had some thoughts that Josh is scum and have called them out. This quote below has made me confident enough to switch my vote from Nate to Josh.

That is exactly what I am saying. If one townie wins, we all win, so if I am able to vote for my self, the sacrificial "throw yourself on the grenade to protect your comrades" scenario, why wouldn't you? I have nothing to hide.

Interesting conjecture Tom. If Eddy is scum, he is playing it well, and the tactic does make sense after seeing how indecisive Town was on Day 1. I don't think you've convinced me to vote for Eddy, but if we lynch Josh or Nate today (especially Josh) and they turn out to be Town, in my opinion that paints a giant bullseye on Eddy's back. Unfortunately, by that point it's getting really tough for Town to pull it together at that point.

VOTE: NATE

For the reasons I originally posted.

No.

You don't get to use this time for investigation. While you were sitting on your ass the last 3 days I was getting in people faces and asking the hard questions. You had plenty of time for investigation and you want to do it now when we need to lynch? We have 10 hours left and you keep saying we will lose a day. The only way we will lose a day is if we stand around with our dicks in our hands again and not have a majority vote for lynch, then we lose a townie and a whole game day.

Also, do you even know how to play this game? Not only do you have to try to figure out who scum are, but you have to be able to convince other people that you're right. I haven't seen you do either this game day and you go accusing me of doing exactly what town needs to do? Thanks, but don't try to add a negative spin to it by saying investigation and rallying are scummy actions.
