*COMPLETED* Kyle bribes MNMAZDA event

I'M OFFENDED!
I hear you have a sizeable dog. Jay believes the breed is "horse". I may bring Taya by or have her meet me there, because she is fond of large dogs, and it would make her day. Assuming that is ok with you.

Do you need any serving pieces, utensils, appliances...?
Nah, I fired up the fridge in the garage...never used it before, but it is working, I've got plenty of plates/knives/forks etc, the grill is brand new (only fired it up yesterday, might use it tonight for diner)

I guess if you've got some paper plates sitting around that could be nice, but I've got lots of stuff so no need for anything really.

Uhhh, not sure why my name is listed in the first post for helping, I won't be there. Probably heading into work then working on the garage.

I'm not all that smart, but if need be, I can make a run for a bit.

Tom posting as Taya.

did a full turboback exhaust, and that seems to be OK. the fmic is the bitch. the intercooler sits too low for the bumper so it seems that the piping or the bumper is going to get trimmed somewhere.

I got about 8 blocks and the car looked like it was on fire and it was stalling so I figured I would turn around and go home. I got a ride to work and will research the dual blow off valve/bypass valve setup tonight and see if I can't get the car running smoothly tomorrow.

then the plastic undercar peice that was pulled off...well, we couldn't figure out how that got back on...

and back to the bumper...we smash-fit it on with a few bolts that are about to bust at the seems, maybe we can get it to fit a little better before I go thru some fine adjustments.

it's possible that I'll just say screw the fmic and sell it off, but I'll probably try to make it work.

THANK YOU AGAIN TO EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT AND WORKED VERY HARD TO MAKE MY CAR FASTER. I CAN NOT THANK YOU ENOUGH.

Kyle, I can come over a bit later in the day tomorrow. I have to drop off my car at the body shop/pick up my temporary ride around 1-2pm, but I can swing by after that for as long as needed.

Some preliminary trouble-shooting questions that come to mind:

1) Did you hook up the stock BPV between the nipple on the IC pipe and the Intake? This would be the recommended setup (hybrid BPV/BOV) unless you have your car tuned specifically for BOV only.

2) Did you double check that the BPV is oriented correctly? The arrow on the side of the valve should point from the IC pipe to the intake.

3) Did you hook up BOTH the BPV and BOV to a good vacuum line? If not hooked up to a vacuum source (intake manifold, brake booster line) they will not function correctly.

One or more of these issues would likely cause the symptoms you are describing. I have the parts in my garage to fix any or all of them, and I'll bring them with me tomorrow to trouble-shoot.

I'll be out all morning, but I'll plan on stopping by as soon as I get my car dropped off (probably ~2-2:30). If anything comes up where you're not around or you get things fixed without me, give me a call on my cell (check your PM)

Hang tight, we'll get you up an running yet!!!
