Bocce ball, croquet, norwegian golf.... anything that can be played on the grass while slightly inebriated is always good. Maybe we steer clear of ther lawn darts though. lol

I hear their golf course is fairly ghetto, and I'm super pumped. As long as the hands hold up I'll be drinking, golfing, eating... :D

If someone has Croquet and/or Boccie ball that could be fun. I picked up a tube to pull behind the boat so there is that if its hot out. Some time out on the pontoon, and I plan to do some fishin and of course beer drinking. A frisbee or football or something to toss around would be good. I think there is a beach there so tubes/floating stuff could be good.

I think they also have volleyball, horseshoes, basketball, etc. there so I am sure we can stay busy!

Nate: are you bringing the garbage can or should I bring the freezer converted keg cooler?

Anyone up for a later caravan? I have the day off, but the idea of waking up early enough to get to Forest Lake by 9:00 AM is not very appealing to me.

I'll drive on my own if nobody else wants to head out noonish or so...

We have bocce, in case AJ has any trouble locating his (I don't want to bring it if his is coming, as heavy as it is), and we'll bring along a washer toss game, which should be fun after some cocktails. I'll throw in a frisbee/aerobie too. srsly looking forward to some perfect weather and relaxing times!!

Just a thought for the guys considering golfing, any thoughts on only bringing a single club to play the entire course?...or maybe two, if you really have to have a putter. If the course is harsh, I'm thinking it's probably not going to be worth bringing the golf shoes, bag full o' clubs etc. The whole course is par 3 holes, right?

So I'm searching for liquor stores near Kerrick, and there are several in towns on 35. Would anyone leaving early friday who's driving a truck be willing to transport the keg if we made a stop on the way?

I think I can make room for one between the boat and the truck if need be.

I know there is a Liquor store or two in Hinckley which could work, or we could check in Forest Lake as well (though they might not be open at that point). Not sure that we are going to find much once we are past Hinckley.

I found mine last night and and bag and everything for it, so I can bring that, a football or two, and Jana and I are bringing our complete set of clubs for golf, just want to pick up some extra cheap balls tonight.

I would recommend at least a flashlight, not sure how well lit (if at all) things will be there.

There is the Firehouse in Hinckely and there is one in Moose Lake. Hinckley is the last one before the exit on 35. I would recommend that one. Maybe call today to see what they have and reserve one. Most liquor stores around here open by 9 am. :)
See you all on Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm expecting to leave some time Friday afternoon, possibly evening if I don't leave work early. I will have a small camping grill and utensils and some food. I'll have a cooler with some sort of easily drinkable beer in it. If you don't like what's in there then buy your own.

You can get a very nice LED MagLite from Target/Wal-Mart/etc. for $25, well worth it.

As much as fun as golfing sound I'm leaving my clubs at home, just one more thing to put into an already packed car.

For those (AJ/Jana) figuring out what to bring - my list is looking like this, obviously some of this will not apply to everyone haha:

Tent
Air Mattress + Pump to fill it
Sleeping Bag
Pillow
flashlight
Cooler + Ice for food/beverages
Extra ice for boat cooler
Grillables + Snacks for the weekend
Ketchup
Roll of Paper Towels
Something for breakfast
Sunscreen
Bugspray
swimsuit
sunglasses
lighter/matches
pocket knife
clothes for warm+cool conditions
Das Boat
Extension Cord
Battery Charger for Boat
Tube to pull behind das boat
deep fryer + oil
20lb propane tank
sharp kitchen knife
beer batter stuffs
folding chair
maybe golf clubs
Smore Stuff (Mellows, Grahm crackers, reeses)
camera

BTW AJ & Jana, I think I left my blue folding captains chair at your place on tint day, if its still around could you guys bring that with?

Also if you want to fish at all (from shore, the pontoon, my boat, etc) make sure you have a valid fishing license.
