I just watched it for the second time yesterday with my sister because she hadn't seen it yet. I will second the "best movie I have seen" motion. It totaly changed my outlook on certain things like materialism. The soundtrack done by Eddie Vedder is exellent as well I have been rockin to that in my car lately. Apparently the book and the movie have spawned alot of imitaters to go to the magic bus and camp out by it and carve messages into the side of the bus just as Chris Mcandles had done including Sean Penn the director of the movie.

I just watched "Quiz Show" again the other day. It reminded me how much I enjoy that movie. If you have not seen it, I highly recommend it.

Oh, and I finally saw No Country For Old Men, great movie.

I watched The Golden Compass last night. Good flick actually.

I'm in the middle of getting The Mist, looking forward to that one.

I justed watched "Black Snake Moan". It was a good solid movie so I would reccommend it.

I just watched the DVD of Gone Baby Gone. Great fuck'n movie!

Beawolf was pretty good as well. But Gone Baby Gone is up there for movie of the year for me.

Maybe we need to get some sort of MN Mazda Movie of the month choice awards? lol

Oh yea I totaly forgot about Gone Baby Gone. That was an exellent film. Casey Affleck is pretty strong actor he was also good in "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" where he played the coward Robert Ford. I would give Gone Baby Gone two thumbs up, it really had a sense of realism so you actually felt like you were in Boston.

throwing some movies out there that most people probly never saw, but are definetly must see for film junkies...

You, me and everyone we know (totally f'd up but great)
Gatica (inspirational and awesome)
the professional (action and drama, one of my all time favs)
Lucky number slevin (yes slevin not 7, good action flick)
Crash (this movie was big, but if you haven't seen it please do!)
and 2 magician movies (the illusionist and the prestige) both are GREAT illusionist is better IMO.
and most movies that Edward Norton has been in, he picks great movies!

well that should get you started, all great movies! go see them!

-The Illusionist is a great movie. I'll second that.
-The Prestige was decent as well.
-The Professional is an excellent movie. Put Natalie Portman on the movie map and she was like 12 years old.

Others:
-Just watched The Game again recently. That's a solid movie with a twist.
-Also saw Pirates 3 - Major disappointment. Pirates 2 wasn't that great either. Which is too bad because the first one is a great movie.

Why do studios feel the need to turn everything into a trilogy? If they cut these down to two movies I'm confident they would have two great movies instead one one great one and two schlocky ones. (Just like the Matrix trilogy) Oh wait I know why...$$$

If only moviegoers would not go to the theaters for these mediocre retreads...

Yes I've seen the game twice too. excellent movie. keeps you going until the very end. I've never seen pirates 1,2 or 3 and probably never will.

They were good. I will agree, I wasn't satisfied with pirates 3 at all. I loved the first one, the 2nd was ok, and the 3rd was definately lacking.

American Psycho is one of the best dark comedy's of our time. HILARIOUS!!! I f'ing love that move...

wow i thought i was the only on that thought pirates 2 and 3 sucked major donkey...

i just saw gone baby gone, and damn, its like a burrito made by m night shamilon(or how ever the hell you spell it) there its full of cheese, beef, and TWISTS everywhere. over all great movie, really enjoyed it, i also saw no country for old men, i though it was good, not amazing but good, still a little confused by it, who the fuck was woodie harrelson supposed to be or work for?

jumper - lame, the acting was sooo bad, but the girl was soooo hot. worth the watch if you have nothing else to watch and are extremely bored.

American psycho was funny, i have a friend who reminds me of christain b.'s character.
