Actually, only the Clio V6 Renault Sport was MR. The other Clio models were front engined and I believe FWD.
Yeah, you are right. According to Wikipedia it was only the Clio v6 Sport model. Never knew that, thanks!

I was like "WTF? There's more than one.... because they made the r5 before that, and it's probably the most wicked french car EVER"

I would consider the VW Scirocco if it came to the US
My new Car and Driver magazine arrived yesterday and the price of the Scirocco in there was $39,500....wow. The would have to be one helluva car to get me to pay that much. Once we get to that price point I'd be looking toward BMW, Acura or Mercedes and screw the hatch...lol

Yep, that's why I listed them in that order, although Mercedes seems to be trying to close in on the others, especially with their overall quality since they were slammed a few years ago when it was reported that over 50% of new Mercedes owners brought their vehicle back to the dealership to repair or correct some sort of manufacturing error.

No, Other than straight line perfomance, there was nothing terribly impressive about the Eclass to justify it over the Hyundai.

I'm sure it'll take a while for the whole line to be improved, but the customer satisfaction surveys have been improving based on previous numbers so that implies that the Mercedes buyers in general are happier with the vehicles they're purchasing than they have been in the past. Granted that doesn't necessarily mean ALL drivers think it's a better vehicle, but Mercedes customers think so.

In quality and reliability that may be the case, but it says little of the driving experience... which was terrible (and the hideous cruise stalk didn't help either).
