so i was wondering, since hatchbacks are the "in" crowd, what othe hatches are out there that yall would get if the ms3 did not offer everything it comes with.

I've yet to see or drive another hatch I would buy, though I'm generally not a hatch person, the MS3 just had the right mix. That new Euro Focus RS or whatever is pretty hot though.

The Focus RS is hot and depending on upgradability a possible Evo replacement, but right now I wouldn't mind a Volvo C30 for a daily driver.

YSOSLO

is the word, beotch
That Volvo looks pretty cool, but I'd have to lean more toward a Mini S with nav (the nav goes in the large center-mounted gauge spot, so a speedometer is mounted in front if the steering wheel where I think it belongs). The upgrade-ability of the car is HUGE.

I love the looks of that Volvo, but everything I have read about it says it is a torque-steering and sloppy/soft suspension car.

I like the VW GTi as well.

S3 or perhaps a black on black mini S convertible for the summer (which still might happen very soon)

Well, I am in that dilemma because there is no other car that offers me what I want, and when the 5-door 6 goes away, so does my last available option.

I wish you the best of luck on that one, a Cooper S vert in black is nearly impossible to come by in the state, and now with gas prices, NO one is letting them go. (I was looking for one of those myself.)
