Just wanted to mention we shouldn't be parking in the main lot at the meet, as this is not our event. Its all about the exotics and sports cars, you guys can do as you please but I'm not going to put myself out there trying to sell a mazda as something exotic...

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow morning!

It sounds like the whole thing wrapped around the complex last time, so we've got to park somewhere, but yeah I'm not planning on pulling up next to a Viper and acting like we're in the same class or something. The even IS in a public parking lot though, so it's not like everyone is expected to park down the block just because this thing is going on. With the wife and daughter along, we're going to be getting some coffee and a bagel and walk around checking out the rides. I'm sure they're leaving SOME parking open for the businesses that are operating during these events.

I totally got a kick out of the POS minivan pulling out prior to a Porshe or something in the video...lol...classic

Yep, I agree. Even though the place is public, its their event much like our wednesday night porkys meets are ours. I know I hate it when a civic or something parks in between 8 speeds, I just want to be sure we give them the same courtesy that we'd expect at our events.
I know we'll be ok, I'm just setting the expectation in case someone did think we're going there to show off our cars.

+1. Josh you better not bring the ROFLGOLF....
I say we grab a spot a little bit a ways from all the "main attraction" and have our own bit of a mazda corner.
Sounds like we can all just park at caribou and the main MEAT will be across the street.
from here: http://www.eurowerks.org/showthread.php?t=6917&page=11
Please note:
In order to have better control of parking and who parks where, I have spoken with the management of Jimmy's (Right across the street from Caribou) and they have been kind enough to let us use their lot from now on for all of our events. So now, instead of turning right into the Caribou lot, you will turn left into the Jimmy's lot. Jimmy's opens at 11am and will offer 25% off of lunch to any of us there for the event!
Same rules apply, no racing, no burnouts or you are out.
We will be parking cars by Country of Origin (Ie: Germany in one section, Italy in another, US etc etc etc) and then perhaps by Marque (In a perfect world, this is how I want all of our events to be from now on) so if you see a Porsche and you are driving one, park by it.
We will have people there directing parking and letting folks know where they should park.
These changes will make the future events better for parking, pictures and easier for the regular patrons of Caribou and people who are there to watch but not displaying their cars in the C&C lot.
See you guys in the morning!!

Crazy amazing cars. I was shocked! 4-5 Ford GT's, 3 Lambos, 5 Ferraris, 3 NSX's, umpteen porsche turbos, umpteen Vipers, DeTomaso Pantera, a Gellit???

Thank you so much for bringing this to the forums, great cars. Two HUGE THUMBS UP!

edit: click on the small Lambo picture for a HUGE gallery of photos...

Just a taste, there must have been over 100 sweet rides. Again this is a MUST SEE EVENT.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!

That event has to scream either "I'm richer than you", or "I got more debt than you". And either one is ok by me, those cars are just fucking sex!

The event was pretty amazing, I never expected to see that many cars, there had to have been 10 vipers, a couple of which were supercharged. The Lambos were sexy. Definitely going to try and make the one next month! Oh and test driving the RX-8 afterwards was fun too :)

There were Two Evo X's, that white one and a red/burgandy one, the red one had a front lip (cool) and these little side aeor fin things on the front bumper (not cool).

I was looking around going, "so these are economic hard times?". As I'm chatting with a kid who looks 12 and owns a Lotus Esprit! WTF? West Side! (read: rich kid burbs, also: I'm jelous) And I have no doubt 90%+ of those cars are paid off in full. And I'm wondering if that's the largest collection of rear/mid engine cars in MN history? 911's, boxers, Ford GTs, Ferraris, MR2, Exiges, Elises, Esprits, Panteras, NSXs, Beetles, smart cars, Mercellagos, Diablos, Gallardos, damn!

Well that was nice to meet some of you & cruise over there. I had no idea what to expect. I had a long talk w/ the guy w/ the RX-7/LS-1, he said go turbo on the Miata instead of Monster (302).

He said I could get more hp & more streetable w/ less headaches. He has a 93 Miata w/ a Flying Miata Turbo kit. Has 50K miles on it & had it in over 6 years w/o any trouble. He also installed it himself. So... I guess you know what direction I might be going w/ mine...

Blah, I'll let ya know how the Monster Miata turns out, that's what I'm doing next. But it won't be a 302. :)

he's also selling off some of his old turbo parts right now. He is a nice guy with lots of knowledge.

While I agree that we all shouldn't be parking in the main lot for these, I think we'd also be cheating ourselves by not having one or two MS3's there. I think the point of the show is not to let rich assholes show off their cars, but to provide a good sampling of performance cars.

The point of the show it to get wealthy people together and discuss there expensive fucking cars over coffee.

Sorry, but I don't feel like my Mazda belongs there. I'll be keeping it far away from the action.
