Have to say that this does have the chacturistics of a conspiracy, especially with the reviews of people saying pretty much the same line that has come from Cobb for a while.
But at the same time, I know what a reputation means to a competitive business like this, and why would Cobb shot themselves in the foot by releasing a worthless mod, plus put the effort and money into trying to suppress that truth in an open society and market. Maybe those reviews are the same because it actually does what Cobb has been saying it does, which is smoothes the power band, moves it forward a tad, without compromising any build-in safety systems, while not give peak numbers; not at least with the very first tunes they release. I think to expect anything else from these tunes, even though it has been made clear what they will and won't do is nutty. I personally don't think much will be seen from the AP, peak numbers wise, till the PRO/RACE software is released, if they have as much control as they say they do, and every joe can make there own tune.
Patients are what is needed with this, and every other tuning solution. Nothing will be proven it the first hours and days, it will takes months to shake out the best tuning solution, specially with all the stuff I hear of in development.
Too bad this wasn't released in December, but it is what it is. I think its better off to wait till next spring to do a tune mod, and then we will really know what is what.
