By no means am I saying $700 is worth it but I disagree with what has been said.
The AP doesn't do much for power considering its cost however it is far far from a "worthless mod". Users can load/manage maps be it OTS maps and professionally tuned maps as well. Some shops use the Streettuner software for dyno tuning in which case you need the AP. The AP is an EMS and since open source tuning isn't available yet for the MS3, it is an expensive but better than nothing tuning alternative. While it's not as detailed as an openecu software package, it does provide quite a bit of information about your car and how it's running, read CELs, and provide other performance data.
