I just got a blu ray player and am looking to beef up my collection of discs. PM if you have some you would like to part with. any movie or show is fine not looking for anything specific.

I don't have any I'm willing to part with quite yet but watch the Sunday ad's a lot of places end up advertising various movies for $8-15. Slickdeals and fatwallet also are good places to check for ones that are on sale. I've heard of people going to the pawn shops for dvd's not sure if they have BluRays though.

Pawn shops do have piles of Blu Rays- but there is a caveat with that. Most pawn shop clientele aren't what we'd call brilliant, and their choice of movies is generally limited to whatevers' been on sale. Meaning- you aren't going to find a lot of hot titles there, but you'll get like 5000 copies of Clash of the Titans or some crap. Pawn America tends to have the best selection, but that can all vary by neighborhood. I've had the best luck with used titles at the one in Bloomington off Lyndale.

I have been through the pawn shops around here and I agree about the crappy titles they have. and if there is a good one they sell it for $2-$4 less then i could buy it brand new and sometimes not even that cheap.

Sad thing is so far Wallie world is the best place I have found for reasonable prices on them.

Check BB too. A little bird told me they're thinning the herd on all physical media, so I imagine a lot of smaller/older titles will get dirt cheap.

I've had luck with discounted finds at amazon and b&n. If you get $25 worth it's free shipping too. I've gotten Cars and Casino Royale on BluRay for like $10/each.

Also check Half Price Books, some of the stores have a decent selection.
