What are your Spring/Summer planned mods??

No new vehicle for me this year. I'll be owning my first home in a month so I'll be working on furnishing that and see how much I enjoy owning a bike.

Of course I can't keep anything stock so I'll be working on mostly cosmetic/functional stuff with the '06 CBR600RR. It already has the rear fender eliminated, with the license plate tucked under the seat. Mods are as follows:

1.) As of right now, it has no turn signals anywhere. I'm planning to incorporate the Clear Alternatives sequential tails and keep things clean in the rear:

2.) Flushmounted front turn signals, smoked, something like this:

3.) Lowering links for an adjustable 2"-4" drop...should make it pretty aggressive looking and more manageable for my small ass to ride.

4.) Pazzo levers - I hear these things are bomb. Spendy, but worth it.

5.) HID's

6.) Of course, gotta have a slip-on. For my bike, this is the best-looking and sounding set-up. Nice and deep sound:

All in all, about $1,000 in damage. I have zero intentions of making this bike faster so I might as well make it sexy. Sure is a helluva lot cheaper than owning a car. 40mpg and the ability to run 10s...can't go wrong with that

HIDs and upgraded fogs for sure, not sure if i'm going to do any powah mods, thinking with what i get back in taxes if it's decent will buy myself a nice Digital SLR.

I think I'm done for now (considering all I did last year). Just a matter of fixing the Magnaflows, and getting the lower fogs operational... and giving the car a good overall cleaning insider and out.

I just bought a Inlet Tube, a triple Gauge Pod, boost gauge, and battery cover (laugh all you want ). I'm hoping to black out my emblems, take off the MazdaSpeed one, and black out the reflectors/etc on the car. I will also be buying a test pipe.

Big thing this year was going to be new summer rims and tires. We'll see if it happens

We will look more into the AP and see what we can do with that thing also. I'm still in the 'small mod phase' until my warranty goes buh bye.

My only real mod planned for this summer is a boat to hook up behind the mountaineer - Intake and tuning are a possibility but I'll probably just leave it stock.

Swaybars should arrive today, rims are on my living room floor, inlet pipe will be in on Friday, hoping to have a Corksport DP in in time for dyno, POSSIBLY an FMIC/LAIC setup, CP-E standback/PnP, maybe an FCF flash if I can figure out how to be carless for a week.... and if that all gets accomplished, or if I get bored and change my mind, Koni yellows, and springs of some fashion if I can figure out how much drop the car can handle with the 245's.

Done modding the ms6 as I hope it will be gone come april. I do plan on dropping all my tax returns and getting the Si suspension good and beefed up.

I am also contemplating selling the PDR tools and getting a good high quality header as well as a Apexi WS2 exhaust for it. But going to run the stock intake. Possibly some CTR cams too. That is the extent of any modding in my future.

Oh yea, and some beefy tires for the civ as well. Possibly get down on some autocross this summer.

Got a decent list so far so we will see what actually comes up:

Jana's car - My old Wheels fitted with some summer tread and new suspension. This will make the mom mobile ride even better and look a bit more sporty.

Truck - bed cover, front push bars, new tunes setup inside (head unit, small sub, and all speakers upgraded)

House - Egress to legalize 4th bedroom, full basement electrical check and fix'n. back yard deck and landscaping (this is a must by fall).

Lastly, new toy car. Prefer to buy something stock I don't have to do anything to or a well done modded car someone is looking to let it go. Options are: White Speed 6, Black RX8, Mazdaspeed Miata, Older Miata for a 302 swap, BMW z3 or z4, and a few others...


For 2011 I'd like to have said car be finished and running 400whp on a consistent basis.

Tokico Illumina dampers and some sort of lowering springs that I haven't decided on. Maybe if I'm lucky, I'll blow my turbo and have to replace it with a GT28RS. lol

Will do: Installing the front lip I pick up from Jay a few years ago, install MS3 hatch with spoiler, then new paint job (stock color) and a TIP

May do (decending order depending on $s): Boost gauge, Upper MMs, Tune (prefer AP, but have to look into all the current options more) DP, EGT & AFR Gauges, P&P IM. Still up in the air on these, may just pay down the loan on the 5 instead.
