Wanted to see if there is enough interest for a few of us to head down to Seven some night for Sushi (or you can order off the Steakhouse menu as well, AJ does...). I love the sushi there - my favorite from all that I've had.

All you can eat sushi is only for Sunday Dinner. I believe it starts after 6PM. It's $30 and for each round you get to choose 2 orders of nigiri (4 pieces total) and 1 roll. They have their regular rolls available and a choice of 4 of their specialty rolls.

I tried sushi for the first time Saturday night. I wasn't a big fan of the nigiri, but the rolls were all pretty good.

We went to CRAVE and I tried:
American Favorites - Spicy Tuna Roll, #9 Roll
Nigiri - Yellowfin Tuna and Escolar
"Specialty Rolls" - Mexican, Godzilla, Tuna 2 Times

I say if we can hit this up on a sunday for dinner I'm in :)
(Erik and I actually)

Sushi is fun to be able to experiment with at an all you can eat. I was not big on Nigiri either. But the more I tried it the more I prefer it now :) The mass of raw fish is just something that can take a little getting use to :) I saw no rolls in Japan when we were there. I believe rolls are an american thing :p

I'M OFFENDED!
Yellowfin is kinda the meh of the tuna world. REALLY hard to get good stuff in the states. You'd probably be happier with red tuna- much better flavor. I actually find that things like octopus and squid are a lot tastier to me.

Spicy Tuna roll and Godzilla rolls are always good. I also like eel rolls or just straight up Unagi Nigiri. For Nigiri, my favorites are probably Salmon and Super white tuna (Escolar).

I wasn't impressed with what was on the all you can eat menu at Seven - definitely limited on what you can get. But at least it's an option for those who don't to spend as much, and are ok with the menu.

I love Salmon Sashimi @ Seven, but the Nigiri is also great. I will say that we had the best sushi chef last Monday night - people follow her around, that's how good she is. We did the chef's choice - 5 rounds for $50 that night. It was amazing!

I would be able to do a Sunday night, as long as I can find a sitter. Does anyone have a preference to a weekend? Otherwise I'll just pick one, and make reservations based on who's a solid "in" by the Friday of that week.

we all need to go to a sushi bar some time if i can get back to work and get some money flowing back in we should like do sushi like on friday one day or something

Unless I know the quality of the "sushi bar", I'm not a fan of them. And the reason I started this thread, was because I have a specific place in mind.

I would love to hit all sushi places in the Twin Cities someday. Seven is a new one for us. So lets do it :)
