New Speed6?

Was speaking with a gentelman at the dealer the other day and got on the subject of some of Mazda's new offereings. He mentioned a completely new Speed6 is coming in the next yr or two? Can't seem to find much on regarding it though. He said it was a done deal and they are being made. Now I don't recall if this is what he mentioned but "I think" he said it would be in the form of a.........modified rotary?

I could be way off on the rotary piece as we were talking about the Rx8 being dumped etc.. so. Anyone else heard of a new upcoming Speed6?

I have heard the replacement for the 6 is going to be this:

I'd be very curious as to where he got that information - seeing as the concept for the new 6 is just now showing up, I find it rather unlikely that any speed variant is a done deal. I'd love to see them do it - but they'll have to figure out what their target market is and how to market it though since their last attempt didn't go so hot.

Very similar lines to the BMW 1 series - which is a killer ride IMHO
