umm yeah, thats why, thats 600lbs more than the original rx7 hadranged from 2,625 - 3,071 lbs. So, really he's on the lighter side of that one,
I detect sarcasim.Oh yeah its totally win, like hes shown it only adds like a hundred pounds or so to the car thanks to the rotary having so many parts on the block. Its just the ruining of the nature of the car that makes rotary enthusiasts mad
I'm glad to see you taking the heat well, and I'm pretty sure this isn't your first battle with it. I, for one, hope you stick around the forums for awhile (hell I'm still on and I don't even own a Mazda) and get past the bashers. You have a car you love, that's what matters. I'd love to see it someday, maybe at Porky's this summer.I detect sarcasim.
Do you really think the 13B that came out of my car was THAT light?
Have you been in an LS1 RX-7? Or is this just an opinion?
I don't beleive I ruined a car nor disgraced it. I love the RX-7, I just wasn't totally into the motor. I guess I'm more of a hot-rodder then an RX-7 enthusiast. Either way, I'm happy you're happy with your motor and I'm happy with mine. I'm happier we have the same love of a chassis.
Yea, dont let these haters get you down. Its their own fault that they are happy with only having 140hp.I detect sarcasim.

Fairly mild cam 225/229 duration .580/.590 lift. Should work well with the heads.Nice, Patriot makes good stuff. Are you running a larger cam then too?
The LS1 is aluminum. You're thinking maybe of a few other generation three motors. Like the LM7, LQ4, and such.^ He said he doesn't have a/c, power steering, etc. FYI he has the aluminum heads.
Also, the LS1 came in iron or aluminum trim. The iron is 88lbs heavier - not sure which one you're comparing.
I remember it when it was for sale. I loved it. What have you done with it?Jager and everyone,
I haven't been on here for a while but I have an LS1 FC to that some of you have seen (red with black hood, pictures on here). Look forward to meeting up with you all especially the V8's this spring. Mines getting a head swap now.
Steve
I'm looking at a set of TEA 241's for about 1K. Needs springsWell the old ones are aluminum too.
I picked up some used Patriot CNC heads for cheap. By the time I refurbished them could have bought new ones. But now these have new valves, a good deal of hand work and a nice valve job.

Nice. How does it drive?Fairly mild cam 225/229 duration .580/.590 lift. Should work well with the heads.
I meant when it was for sale before you bought it. I looked at it then. For sale ? My car hasn't been for sale since I did the swap.
It is the Patriot cam. It drives really nice. I take to work every day in summer.
