For what it's worth, my lack of attendance has had nothing to do with the location nor the quality of the food.
Though, I will admit it is lacking some of the appeal porky's had.... I dinno what that is or where else to find it though.
To me, it's be a better appeal, better food, better access, better owner/workers, better cars to see
OTHER than our own members. Every time I've been there I've seen some classics or even some of the MitsuStyle group roll through, fun to see more cars and a wider range of owners.
If i'm there, i'm generally there @ 5:30ish. I'm beginning to think Wagners might not be the spot though, because this is the worst summer we've had for attendance since we started at Porkys 4 years ago.
I think attendance can be attributed to a few things, from economy, to job schedules, to families, to drop in overall members on the forum (though in recent weeks this has picked up a bit it seems).
The location is a bit farther than I'd like, but I understand we won't be able to satisfy everyone.
Maybe weekly is too often...thoughts?
Kinda agree here, it's a bit north for the southern folk, but it is very easy to get to with major aceess points near by. If not weekly, the forum needs a schedule set up in a thread.
My $0.02 here... let's roll with Wagners through this season and then open it up for discussion again early next year.
x2, I like the place, like supporting the owner since he seems to support the groups as a whole who go there, and that's a great thing to have. We also get seen by other car people, you never know who's gonna buy a mazda one of these days and think, hey, I know there is a local mazda group to hang with as well.
Also, if you need a rain location, just down Broadway (the main road Wagners is on), they are opening up a Broadway Pizza where the old Fieldhouse used to be. This could be an ideal rainy day location, in the same area. It allows people to plan accordingly, and if for someone reason they head to Wagners and no one is there (maybe it just rained before they got there?), they would have somewhere to drive by and check the lot for cars quick before heading home.
