haha, im not really a hippy, i just enjoyed the stereotypes of the ACVW owners haha, yeah the blue dub is mine. Thanks, the stock FI system is causing a problem, so i might just either convert it to carb or replace the engine. I called Steve(thered rocket) up cause I saw a couple MS3's and a MSP, so figured he should give a show. Here is a little pic of them both hehe

Anywho, I don't know if you saw the guy with the '88 golf at the end of the lot, but he actually stumbled across your meet right after he picked up that car as a winter beater. I was honestly surprised to see that your crew was almost exclusively rocking the old-school v-dubs!

yeah! i take it from ur sig that it was your MSP? looked clean and nice. they actually make a conversion kit to put a FC 13b in the bugs, that turboed plus a car less then 2k lbs would = fun!

Yup, that was mine, and thanks! And yeah, I've seen/heard of some pretty crazy swaps into bugs. If those weren't so tough to come by around here, I think that would make an amazing project. As is stands, I just scored a 92 festiva that's going to pull one winter's worth of beater duty.... depending on how things turn out this spring, the stock 1.3 might be making way for a 1.8, or even a 1.6t
yeah there are some crazy swaps, including SBC's and electrical conversion kits that you just bolt the motor onto the existing tranny. haha, festivas are awesome, a 1.6t swap would be insane. didnt they make a special rally or race edition festiva haha? anyway, people are probably gonna get angry at me for the non-mazda talk in this thread, dohYup, that was mine, and thanks! Not at all. There is non-mazda talk all over the place. So I do have one question about that bug. When she was layin frame, I noticed that the camber was all wonky. Normally a car layin frame like that is like this / \ and your car was like \ \. I don't get it. Also, i'm sure the other ones on here will attest, but if you have really stupid swaps you want to attempt, we'd probably be willing to assist. I dug that bug huge tho. It's funny, I was talking to the mazda guys about the whole hoodride style, with superlow bagged bugs w/luggage racks and whatnot, and then you roll up. Nicely done.
