2 races, same track, forward and reverse? maybe?
I'm thinking if we have nine tracks.that's 5 sessions of 2 races, including one 3 lap ring.

IF that works, we could move on to series #2, change up the cars and pp. Running same track forward and back doesn't sound real good to me.

I'm not against it. However, I think we should keep it light for this series since we're A- having a hard enough time getting people together, and B- getting a race decided on and C- all of the above.

We should devise some cool points system. Like points for placing in the race, plus points for like fastest lap time, clean passes, leading entire laps. Would make it interesting and a bit more competitive.

Let's just keep the first one simple. Point for ever car you beat. I am thinking we could add penalty weight or hp loss for cars who win. Just like scca races.

Depends on how they win. Like if they win because they have a beast of a car. Or if other people were spinning out, crashing, or just plain sucking lol.

That could be hard to enforce since there are some cars you might not be able to subtract any HP from (w/o de-tuning) and some you might not be able to add more weight to (max ballast).

Anyway I've decided on my primary car - Amemiya AsparaDrink RX7, still undecided on my backup.

2nd - 7 points
3rd - 5 points
4th - 2 points
5th - 1 point

I'm not down with the ballast or penalties, it'll be near impossible to enforce. That works better in a spec series, which we may try if this series does well. :)

Car choices due Friday!

The game is still very playable with just the remote. It's surprisingly hard to adjust to using a wheel in the game, so starting with the remote isn't a bad idea. And If you are going to invest in a wheel I suggest coughing up the little extra for one with a good force feedback system. It really makes the game feel real and gives you a real feel for what the car is doing. I am looking at getting one here pretty soon.

I have to side with Hayden here, I think you're better off with a controller rather than a cheap wheel. The wheel initial does make the game harder, but after I got used to it it's awesome how much more precises you can be with steering, throttle, and brake inputs. The better wheels w. good Force Feedback really give you a sense of weight with the car and it's super easy to FEEL when the car is getting light, pushing, etc. And having a good set of pedals gives you that ability to threshold brake, heel/toe, and manipulate the throttle well.

Sometimes you can get used G25/27's online at reasonable prices, otherwise if you can find someone with a discount direct through Logitech a brand new g27 is like $180-200.

So you want us to build cars, not knowing if we're getting autumn ring mini or Sarthe? Are you mad in the head?
