Thanks guys, just an offer to help someone that you NEVER even met is more than I was expecting. I know that the people that I've worked with for the last few years are planning a benifit. it's just starting and I don't have details other than it will be in Rochester. Something that you all will be able to appreciate... harder than knowing my end is having this great car in my garage and not DRIVE IT!!!!!! and the iraqi's think they know torture.

I'm so sorry to hear of your plight, but please DON'T drive every minute you please.... There's probably a reason the doctor felt your driving priveleges needed to be revolked, and the last thing you'd want to be remembered for is "that guy with cancer that had a (fill in the blank) and plowed head-on into a family killing all of them instantly." Definitely head up to the Cities sometime for a meet if you're able, and Im' sure there will be several guys willing to take you on a hell of a ride or a group of us could spend an evening cruising. I can't imagine being in your shoes, but I wish you the best of luck and hope you're able to accomplish as much as possible on your bucket list.

Group cruise for cancer- sounds like the boost for boobies- i think it would be easy enough for a car club like this to organize a drive or something to help other car enthusiasts like minn07speed6 that are struggling with major health problems- i dont know half the stuff most of u do about cars but i do know driving and riding in them is what its all about and if anyone ever needs or wants to cruise or just park and chat im in! Man im sorry to hear the hand that was dealt to u- but remember its ur life and u can prove them wrong! my grandpa was supposed to die 40 years ago!

I think we need to get something organized and make this Cruise for Cancer happen.

Driving is what you want to do then driving is what you will do.

Thanks gyys and gals, Yes there is a very good reason that the doc's don't want me to drive, the tumors in the brain are putting pressure on the sections that deal with balance and depth perseption. I'd love to come see all of you before I get to far, but I'm not the kind of person to put someone out whether I know them or not. I will however, try my damnedest to continue on this forum, just like work, untin I just can't anymore. My Kids, my cars and my music where the things I really loved in life. My bucket list consists of seeing my youngest graduate High school next year, maybe see my oldest graduate college. and leave as little burden on my parents as I can. Not much anyone can do to help my b-list, it's really up to my body, mymind and ME. If you would like to do somethin local in your area let me know and perhaps something can be coordinated. I've been surprising people all my life, I believe I'm tougher than the doctors say, we'll see. by the way I have read a lot about MS6 not getting very good MPG my last tank got 26.5 calculated, these are excelently balanced vehicles - performance, drop dead gorgous looks, and fuel economy like that available. Do me a favor, If you enjoy your baby's (flesh and metal) as much as I do take time to REALLY APPRECIATE. that's what I would do with this story. In a year or more it won't be about me anymore, but you guys can still make the best of your lives. I didn't post the story to get anything from any of you, I wanted to appologize to AJ for not being there to help him move like I promised that I would. Laugh til you cry, Love til it hurts, Live every second like it's your last!!!

Hrm, roadtrip to Hayfield anyone? I suspect we'd stand out, and that would be hilarious.

Charge THIS!!
don't worry about not being able to help me move bro...got everything done. But i think this forum/community will pull together and arrange something for you much like the Fiero enthusiasts did for one of their own. Mods - Organize a cruise and i'll see if i can get any other takers.

don't worry about standing out in Hayfield, (or even trying to find it) I've been advised to sell my house and my parents have taken me in again. Rochester will be a much more "innocuous" (spelling) location. But as strange as this may sound to some, I know some, if not all of you have families that I would rather have you spend as much time as possible with. My daughters are living with my X-wife. and are old enough to have friends and jobs there. I'm waiting until schools out to tell them. If your whole families would not be inconvenienced by all means I will welcome all.

This is our family. All of our wifes/husbands/girlfriends know each other. Half of these people were at my wedding. It would NOT in any way be an inconvenience at all. As far as Rochester goes, I live right off 52 in IGH. We can get there.

One other idea i've always wanted to do..... smash a car. SERIOUSLY. All we need is a busted whip. 5$ buys you a swing with a sledgehammer/crowbar, whatever. We'd raise a fortune on that.

Wow, that's some hard news to take. I can only hope I'd have my head together and my attitude as positive if I were in your shoes. That said, it sounds like you're determined to wring every last bit out of the hand you've been dealt, and if there's anything we can do to help in that regard, just let us know. This group actually is crazy enough to caravan out to Podunk, MN to support the cause of someone we've never met in person!

If you want to come, Best spot is Apache Ramada, Huge parking lot, good bar with food, and an attached Hotel if you like to get crazy.

Tom I really liked your idea about smashing up a car. I wonder if Goodwill might have one that's been sitting on their lot WAY too long that they'd give us cheap. As long as all of the fluids are drained we should be alright. Raffles usually do well too, but I know in Wisconsin you had to be an official non-profit organization to be able to have one (my Guard unit checked into it years ago), but I don't know if MN is the same or not.
