Scam or not, put that aside for a second. If you guys were in my position and a legitimate buyer came along, would you sell it? I owe $13,500 on the loan and have put around $5k into it. It's an '06 with 44k miles.

Part of me is just saying wait it out, pay off the loan, and I'll still have a nice dd when the time comes to get a fun summer car, while another part of me is saying sell it, get something cheap for now, pay down some debt while saving for a new project and I'll be on the fast track to get something fun.

I just don't know how much longer this little engine is going to take, especially on 22lbs of boost pressure. I have no interest in building it since people are making such little increase in power from where I'm at with thousands more invested. It's been honestly great to me, no issues what so ever except for a bad 02 sensor. I just can't predict the next 44k miles will be as smooth as these cars don't seem to get driven much. Weird.

Hoping for some good advice, thanks guys.

Unless you're actively in a hurry to ditch the MS6 and buy something better, I'd personally wait it out. The price is pretty good, but when you consider the money you've just spent on mods all within the last several months, you're more or less coming out even, or a little behind depending on how you do your math.

If reliability is a concern, lower the boost closer to stock for daily driving, or just go easy on it.

My $0.02, give it another year or two.

There really isn't much else 'good' out there that I really want, for the price anyways. My next roster will include a summer-only car, no doubt about it. So I obviously need a beater.

I'm not unhappy with the car at all, it's honestly the best middle-man of 3 worlds - I get the performance, I get the comfort, and I get the all-season duty.

Only reason it's tempting is simply to cut down some debt (which isn't much at all by any means, but it more or less gives the opportunity to start with a clean slate), and pick up something come spring for a new fun car. Of course though, I'm going to do it all over again - spend thousands on it and lose my ass when the time comes to sell.

I really think the smartest move is to hold on to it. Ahh well, hope you guys enjoyed the drama over the past couple days. Suppose I should probably save up for an intake mani + meth + BNR turbo now 'eh? lol

The problem comes in modding / pushing your daily driver to the limit, I'd either consider stopping where your at / possibly lowering the boost a bit even (or have teh money to build the motor if she pops) or look at a 'safer / more reliable' daily driver. I think you're in the same boat as me in that the MS3/6 isn't the platform for big power / project vehicle, so its either gotta be a DD for a couple years and get a vette, or sell that chit, get a beater and vette sooner, I'd have a hard time not choosing the latter myself lol. Not sure if that helped much but I'm a little buzzed and felt like rambling.

If you can make the money work, sell it and get what you really want. Life's too short.

I'd hold onto the car to enjoy it for awhile. There's always somebody that'll buy it down the road because it's unique and looks completely badass. You're too young for a vette yet anyway...

This is tough guys. I feel like I'm 50/50 on this. Part of me wants to keep it, drive it, enjoy it, while another part totally agrees with Colin and Matt - life's too short so dump it now while I got the chance and just roll with it.

I talked with my friend and she said she just got a black Lincoln LS at the auction with 100k miles on it and she's going to see what it goes for, and maybe I can hop on that. Essentially it would be pretty win-win to get something now - hold off the miles on the MS6, and I can part it out, return it to stock, and sell it whenever I feel because I'll have something to drive during the downtime. Or, I could just buy it now and if this guy's for real I'd still have something to drive.

The guy hasn't e-mailed me today, but I talked with the guy I know on MSF and he made it sound like the guy was pretty serious about buying and getting things wrapped up for it. After thinking a bit more about it, I'm essentially pretty well-covered. I won't ship the car until the funds are in my bank account and cleared. I just need to get a bill of sale written up and notarized along with some other paperwork, but all in all it seems pretty easy - oh and I won't mail the title until the lien is released obviously.
