Hi Im new

mndsm

I'M OFFENDED!
I went to that last yr. Brrr was it cold and wet or what!? I'm hoping that this place is a lot less drama than all the other car sites. What's up with that?? Children living a soap opera bragging about a car their parents bought them. I've really pulled out of the racing and compact car scene because of it. I would like to learn more about my Mazda and ask some opinions on things.

Oh and hi Nate! Never knew your name before. :p I'm Alicia.
We strive to avoid drama. We might be dicks to each other in the chatbox, but that's because we're all bored, and well- guys. Guys are dicks.

As far as local Mazda owners, you really can't find a more knowledgeable group. If we don't know about it, we know who does. Most of us do all our own work- and none of us have a problem lending a hand if need be. I think i've been into 2-3 suspension swaps, countless intake/bolt on mods, I've probably rolled 6-7 sets of fenders for people here, etc. It's how we do. As far as rides go-I'm currently at a 2007 ms3, a 2005 cooper S, a 1999 Chevy Prism, a 1992 Jeep Cherokee, and a 1988 Mazda mx6 GT (the factory turbo car). The mx6 is destined for Grassroots Motorsports 2012 Challenge with the help of Ben/Concealer404.

Welcome to the site! If you work with or near Nate, then you must be a "north metro" girl, eh? Our group seems to have some up North and quite a few down South. We used to meet at Porky's on University every week until they tore it down to make way for a train station or something, so we've been a little less organized lately. It's been turning around slowly but surely though.

I drive a 2008 Mz3 with quite a few exterior and interior mods, but nothing too crazy (someday I'll get around to throwing on my rear sway and putting in the luxury replacement carpet that's been sitting in my garage for a couple of years). My wife drives a 2013 4Runner Limited, which is our primary kid-hauler for our 2 little girls.

Hopefully we'll see you out at a meet sometime.

btw, you should definitely take it as a great sign of respect that not a single one of these perverts said a word about your "other toys that are exciting" comment in your original post (but I couldn't resist not pointing it out..lol).

Welcome aboard! One of the nice things about this place is that most of us have met face to face at some point, which really helps to cut down on the drama.

We used to have wednesday night meets at porkys, and have since bounced around to a few locations. Lately, we seem to have settled on Sonic in Bloomington--kind of a joint meetup with another local club. Things kind of fall apart once the weather turns cold though, and there hasn't really been much except for a couple of small get-togethers hosted by a member.
