First Annual MN Mazda.com Blow Off Work Day

Still locking things down but wanted to give everyone the heads up and get a headcount going.

The idea here is to simple insert a fun filled day on the lake in the middle of a work week. This people, is what paid time off is made for. A day in which we bitch about work, during the work day, while working on our tan and drinking a beer on a pontoon boat or rocking out on the waters with some jet skis.

We will be taking a Wed off in July, probably in week 2 or 3 so the 4th of July vacation people are over with their lake time.

We are currently thinking about a half day (9am - 2pm by rental time frames) for the pontoon rental ($225 for that time frame) and Jet Ski cost is:

1 HOUR $65.00
2 HOURS $110.00
HALF DAY (4 hours) $150.00 Special price for m-w.

We would need to know who's interested in jet skis and who's intereted in just the pontoon to really see who's in and determine an accurate per person price.

Start thinking about July 16th off with July 23 being an alternate or rain date.

Let the awesome begin!


*if we get a large amount of people just in for the pontoon we can look at chartering a 36' Party Pontoon!

This sounds like a sweet plan. I'm going to be out of town the 14th-18th, but if it goes down a different week I'd be in for splitting a jetski and the pontoon.

This sounds like a kick ass time i would need to know a date for sure pretty soon to request work off. Our family has 2 jet skis I'll just have to ask my dad if i can take em but i would need a vehicle to pull them.

I'll be putting up some new info on this tomorrow hopefully. Probably looking at the later of the two dates right now. I think the main idea is to rent a pontoon boat get the date, and figure out the best way to do a cost on this. I'm thinking the pontoon will be split by everyone and then people can go in on jet skis with others as they see fit.

Would we want a half day or full day?

Yeah, and Cost will depend on people. If we don't get people 150% in, then it may end up as just a few of us blowing off work for a few hours on jet skis.

Time to bring this back to life. I'm thinking Jet Skis are going to be the way to go. Anyone still want to do this? Rent jet skis for 4 hours:

10am - 2pm
Ride them up to a spot for lunch between 11 & 12, and just cruise the lakes on a wonderful wed.

I know it's spendy for some (including myself), but it will be the only time I get out on a lake, what better time than with a bunch of gomers like you guys.
