We're only two weeks away from MNMazda invading the Great Minnesota Get Together... and since we've put together the basic logistics, here is the thread where we're out of discussing and into doing...

Event: Minnesota State Fair
Day: Wednesday, August 27 2008
Time: 11:00 am and 1:00 pm* through when everyone is too bloated and sore to so any more.
Where: South Entrance by the Miracle of Birth Center meeting place
Why: To see things some strange some wonderful, to consume several times the amount of calories you need, plain fun, and need I say it? NOM NOM NOM

Keep in mind Wednesday is Transit Day, so only $3 to ride the bus round trip to the Fair, though prebuying tickets at Cub is still cheaper than the $2 coupons.

* If you arrive and it's not a meeting time, just give a call and we'll arrange an ad hoc spot to meet!

I took the times from the old thread and came up with a place near the transit center to meet... we can certainly manage ad hoc rendezvous points as needed too...

Jess, Ella and I will be there that day with some old friends and their daughter, so we'll probably see you guys around. Hopefully it turns out to be an awesome day weather-wise. As James alludes to in the OP, advance tickets are available at any Cub foods for $8 per person up until the day the Fair starts, so make sure you pick 'em up ahead of time to save a little cash. Be sure to swing by the Mexican Hat stand too, to visit one of our Mods.

I think 11 and 1 are the scheduled times when people will be at the "Where" location that day, but people can come and go whenever.

I'll be there for the 11. Also if someone doesn't have a ticket, I have an extra one you can have for next to nothing.

Since it seems like I'm the only one actually showing up later than 11, think we could move that 1pm meeting to 2? That'll probably be closer to the time we actually arrive.
