We will most likely be having a slumber party for engine install on the RX7 :p Otherwise Erik probably would have been all for it. :(

I'd vote for SC2... which I've got a 10day pass for someone could use at the party.

Also, Alien Swarm looks pretty awesome, I forgot about that while I was on Vacation.

Also, SC2 doesn't have LAN support? I haven't looked at the multiplayer options at all yet, but from some quick internet searching, this seems to be true... wtfs.

You can still play SC2 online, but have the people you are playing with or against in the same room.

Also MW2 is totally worth buying Eddy.

Im stuck in BFE today, will move this to Finalized later tonight, thinking 3 is a good start time.

Oh yeah, online will be fine... but I just hadn't heard of them removing LAN. And having played DOTA a TON, I'm well aware of the downfalls of a bad host in online games. Having it take as much as 1-2 seconds for your units to respond is tough.

Dan, I don't think they have dedicated servers to host your games, so your worries still stand. They just removed the LAN component so that anyone playing multiplayer has to authenticate with bnet servers before starting a game.

I know that it will still be an issue, I was just referring to "playing online with people in the same room"

And I'm not nearly as concerned about play regular SC vs DOTA. In DOTA, micro matters WAY more than a casual game of SC, and that 1-2 seconds of delay can get you killed with ez.
