Sunday is the day for disc golf!

We are going to start out playing Rosemount at 1pm and eventually move over to North Valley. If you can't make it right at 1 feel free to show up and give us a call to see where we are at.

Everyone is welcome and I have some extra discs if any newcomers want to give it a try!

Google maps doesn't have all the roads since it's a new development, but it should be pretty easy to figure out, I put a maker about where the parking lot is

I'M OFFENDED!
I should be there, and I got some extra frisbees as well. Anyone that wants to get down, lets get down.

I'm confused.
It was fun... except that I was hurting. And go Me, Mike and Tom for bitching out half way through!

I threw the sindwinder really well on Sunday, quite a bit better than I normally do I think. I was using a bit different grip, so that was probably it. Looking for thoughts from the pro... if I wanted to try a little bit better disc, would a Monarch be a good choice? I like the sidewinders high (low rating) tendancy to turn and low fade. It looked like the monarch has similar ratings.

I had a great time! Glad there were at least a few people that could finish the course this time lol.

Get a Beast. Flies pretty straight but is considerably faster than the Sidewinder. I love it =]

Jump on that Dan.

Buzzz is a midrange. Somewhat comparable to a Breeze though I don't think it flies quite as straight. Ask Matt what he thinks of his... Corey has one as well.

Just got back from GGGT. Picked up a Champ Beast and Sidewinder and a bag... damn you people making me buy shit. I talked to one of the guys there and he said the Buzzz they have for cheap is really bad for anyone but kids. It's only like 140g. I guess he was at Champs 2008, where they were first given out, and they had 80-100 DG pros/players out on a baseball field. Basket on the pitchers mound, people throwing from outside the foul lines. Not a single person even HIT the basket, and they had as many tries as they wanted (buy a disc for $7, get a try). They're horribly inconsistent for adults I guess.

Did you look for a non light-weight buzzz? The light <150g discs are usually for kids but I have a 167g (would like a heavier one) buzz and it's one of the best flying discs I own.

Anywho congrats on the new discs and bag :D

That's possible, he helped me both times I was there, but I never got his name. He's got a rather long, black goatee thing and wears glasses.

On another note, I think I know another guy who works there from middle school... 0.o He pointed me to the X-outs, but didn't say anything about it. When I first saw him we both did the "Do I recognize you?" look, but I couldn't figure it out while I was there. And I was never really friends with him anyway.

I really just bought it because it's got a water bottle holder, lol. If I keep bringing Emma with me when I go, it'd be nice to have a smaller bag than the backpack I currently carry.
