*Completed* BAG hosted Tint Weekend!! | Sunday, August 2nd.

Quick overview:

I reached out to Tien (former owner of SST) and and wondered about tint for my Truck. I asked if he was up and running and he is. I also asked if he'd be interested in doing a group event and if needed, I could host it.

When: Sunday August 2nd, starting at 10:00am.
Where: My Place in Crystal. Near Bass Lake & Broadway Intersection.
What: Tint Yo!
Cost: $150 for coupes, and $170 for sedans with a lifetime warranty.
Payment Methods: Cash or CC (he has a wireless CC machine) Only! Tax Applies!

As some know, I offer a nice location for the work to be done, and I'd also be happy to facilitate and organize this with Tien to make it run smooth if there is interest.

For those who don't know of his work, he comes very recommended and I've used him for 2 cars already. Great work and reviews from me.

So post up if one or both of those weekend would work and we will see what will work for Tien as well. And FYI, if you want to walk around, grab food, ect ect. There is TONS within walking distance of my place.

1. AJ - Nissan Frontier Crew Cab - 35% all around.
2. '06 mazda6iGT-Kris-mazda6 sedan-35% all around+sunroof+windshield@40/50%
3. Adrian - 2 windows in Speed 3. 50%
4. Pete - Sunroof 30%
5. Jay - Re-tint front windows 50%


With 1-6 current, Tien has let me know he could do those all one day (will have a 2nd person with him). My truck can be done at any point, And Swanny and Becca are looking for an early time frame. But I think I'd just open our place up to a full day of grilling and chilling if wanted.

People are welcome to grill and chill with us during the day. There is plenty of parking around our place.

this is REALLY tempting. depending on what my check looks like on august 1st. i'd be down for 35% all around (except windshield) for my mazda6.

does tien by chance have that clear 3m tint that helps block heat/UV rays that could go on my windshield?

Updated, confirmed with Tien that he'll be out of town the 2nd weekend in Aug. So Aug 1 & 2 is it. Your car, your friends car, family, regardless, lets get some cars in here and not only give business to a mn multi car club supporter, but also for a top install of a top product!

Is it $170 for all coupes? Does he mix-match tint? I am thinking of going 50/35/25 on my car, or 50 front 35/rear & back.

We might be in pending the bottom line on our appliances. Tint is required on the Audi's, but so are appliances

With that assumption, isn't this undercutting that sponsorship by sending a large part of the tint business generated at this sit to BAG? What does BAG stand for? Is he considering sponsoring if this event goes well?

SST, and it's new ownership is no longer a site sponsor. the paid sponsorship (by Tien) for SST actually expired May/June of 2009. I just need to remove their forum. The new owners are not active here, and to my knowledge not active on the other forums they are on. Tien to my knowledge will be setting up another shop soon, and I fully hope to get his full sponsorship again if he is interested.

Till then, he's been nice enough to do a group event, at better prices than his last posted 2008 group event (possibly better if we get some more cars). And I've offered to be a place to host. BAG is my nearly 1000sq ft garage. She's my baby.

I might be up for getting some tint as part of this event...any chance Tein does sunroofs? I love mine, but the sun is teh bright in the Summer, so perhaps some 30% on there might make things more bearable. Plus I have yet to see BAG in person.

I'd imagine he'd do a sunroof; it's probably the easiest window on the car to tint. Depending on price, I might be interested in getting mine done too.

YO!!! Yet again its been awhile since ive been on here. But just to clear things up and to answer a few questions members have asked. I sold sst over a year ago and have not been affiliated with sst for the past 6 months.. Since ive sold sst ive been working on a mobile tinting business with my cousin. We currently have a scion xb that is wrapped in vinyl that can come to you to tint your vehicle. We have been up and running and things have been going good for us. I will update more info as soon as our website is up, so keep in touch.

Depending on size of the sunroof it will range from 30-45 dollars
All coupes are $150
Most Sedans are $170 depending on how many windows
Wagons will run about $190-210
I have been doing a lot of front windshields lately so pm me if anyone is interested in that.

how much for 50% on the front doors? i am thinking 50 on the drivers & passenger side windows and 35% for the rear doors + hatch.

Adrian, I think the price is the same even if you mix and match the tint from the front to the back.
