Was it the Bobby and Steve's off of 65? I know they carry 100 unleaded there as well.
If it is marked off-road use only, it is tinted. Usually green or blue. Blue is off road only and, if I recall correctly, green is tax exempt (for farmers). Street legal will have no tint, whatsover. Is 110 leaded tinted as well? I know the c16 is that washer fluid color, but I had no idea the stuff out of the pump was tinted.
what pump is this?? I can't seem to find it.. I was just over there, but don't see 100??Yeah, but more than likely 100 octane will do absolutely nothing on your car w/o some type of tuning. The octane can be used for addtional boost or advanced ignition curves, but just droppin 100 octane in will not necessarily increase HP. On cars with knock sensors it can help some though, as the PCM will push the knock threshold further which can bring a few addtional HP. Really, its a waste of money unless you plan on throwing more boost or timing at the car.
With that said, there is a list of stations there have race gas on www.dsmstyle.com - I will try to find it. Also, there is a Holiday station on Marshall and ... I wanna say Hamline that sells 100 unlead. That is right down in the Uni area and a lot of guys use that location. So, you are certain its a fresh fuel and of high quality. Kath off of Rice and Hwy 36 sells race gas too, usually only leaded though.
hmm...where i used to work in minneapolis, there was this gas station that carried 100 octane, only on one pump. forgot the name of the station, but it does have this BIG honeycombish-beehivish-thingy in front of the store.![]()
Yea that's where i was thinking, they carry 100 octane.Only place I know of the the Colony off Broadway and 94.
LOL, that might be closer than most of the other stations! If you want to go REALLY far east, there is a BP in Somerset that carried race gas.
