I have been a long-time fan of the GTI and TDI, but I don't know which route I would go...diesel prices are so much more stable and who knows what gas prices will be next summer...would be nice to get upto 600+ miles per tank, but I don't drive enough highway so it wouldn't really be worth...

Good luck. Any issues when you get into the install, post up and maybe we can help. Since you don't have to worry about that stuff, it should be a relatively straight forward install...probably half a dozen wires to splice I would guess...maybe a few more, but you shouldn't run into any other...
