SimCity

what game are people choosing? there are only 8 options and I'm only interested in battlefield 3, dead space 3, mass effect 4, or medal of honor 3. I also find it hilarious you can choose sim city as one of the free games! I've tried mass effect via sexbox but never caught on, thinking of dead space... thoughts?

Dead space was what I chose. Read some good things about it, and unlike Mass Effect, it doesn't have a horse shit ending.

I chose BF3, though I've heard if you contact EA, they are willing to give you another free game (older ones) instead.

Do you already know the ending to Dead Space? Maybe it does.

Also, from what I remember, the ending to ME3 isn't really "bad". It's just that some people who were overly attached to the characters from the rest of the series weren't very happy with it.

dl'ing Dead Space 3 now. Figured a free game... worth trying something I normally wouldn't.

For those that are working on their "Great Works" are you noticing a REALLY glitchy backend on the res. that gets sent to it? Mine jumps all over the place and does not add up correctly at all.

apparently when you are invited it's a common problem, that not everyone gets, but a lot do.

Gotcha. I've got 3 cities in a private region working on a great work, and each one of them tells me different things. It's odd. They all seem to agree I've got enough alloy to it at least.

It doesn't calculate instantly - at least thats what I noticed when I built the solar array, but it eventually catches up, I just let it run and checked every once in a while. It takes quite a while to get enough sent though.

Ok, just checkin. Two of my 3 cities say I have enough alloy for my Arc...whatever the fuck that thing is called. The 3rd one says I only have 605/1000. They all seem to be roughly in line with metal (not really watching that one TBQH) and two of my 3 cities say I have 6k TVs there, while my city that is in CHARGE of the TV's says I only have 5500. It just seems off. Go EA!

I have discovered something. Mostly because I apparently suck at civil engineering- there is a glitch in the game. If you have too much regional traffic, it will not allow delivery trucks in if you're importing materials for processors and such. In certain cases, this can even hamper OUTGOING deliveries as well... and it gets ugly. Word of advice, one way in, one way out. You want your firs intersection of any kind as far as humanly possible away from the highway entrance to your city.

What population is your city and region? I had that issue before I beefed up my regional transportation with buses, trains and boats, but my city is 90k and region is only 300k.

It was a local transport issue, but i'm dealing with significantly more population. The city that was broken is over 230k residents, and my region population is somewhere near a million. I knows how to pack em in. The issue i'm having now is I can't get my fucking city to be stable long enough to make any progress. Keeps "not syncing properly" and forcing me to roll back, losing any possible progress I made, which in some cases results in several million in profits.

Step one, fire EA programmers. Step two, hire Hackers.
You say that like it's the programmers fault that EA implemented always on DRM. That is the type of decision that comes down from the suits. Aside from that, network/server issues are unlikely to be the fault of programmers.

Aside from all that, while I bought the game after all the initial problems were resolved, I've never had an issue with their servers.

See, and that's the trick. I bought the game when "supposedly" all the major issues were solved. Sure there's a few bugs here and there, but nothing that prevented me from playing, until about the last week or so. It claims my city isn't processing properly and wants to do a rollback. Effectively what this is doing is causing me to lose a lot of work i've put into a city, and basically stalled my frickin' Great Work. I know Picklz said i'm not allowed to bitch because I bought it knowing there was issues- but this is different. This is something that wasn't present during the first 60+ hours of gameplay, and has only cropped up recently..... Supposedly there's a fix in the works with patch 2.0 (scary that they're that high already), at which point it will be better.
