I don't see what's so hard to understand. In the start-up thread I told Dan we should keep the set-up similar to the last game we played. We had a cop, a doctor and a roleblocker. Then in this thread, Dan's 3rd post says he sent out role PMs and guess what's listed there? All the roles. It wasn't until after Dan chimed in I was aware the roles are only a possibility.

Deadline is 12 hours away and I'm not 100% ready to vote quite yet.

It's not that it's hard to understand why you could have made the mistake. The reason it's under discussion still is the fact that you made the mistake is suspicious.

All we've got to go on right now is what has been posted, and the main way for Town to hunt scum is by picking up on the small mistakes they made. Of course a Scum is going to be able to whip up some kind of explanation for any thing they might have said, but plausible deniability carries ZERO weight in this game. You've either got to have an airtight record or else you're going to have someone breathing down your neck.

Maybe I'm the one being a tard here, but the Scum Roleblocker doesn't know which roles are out there, do they? That would make shit way too easy. So I don't necessarily think JT's assumption of roles means he knew anything that only a scum would know. It does still leave the possibility that his misunderstanding of the rules was causing him to try and employ a scummy tactic.

I guess I don't see how it's considered a mistake, or slip-up given the moderator of this game had to chime in and say the roles are only a possibility. Dan followed the logic I was trying to form and stepped in to make sure I, as well as others, were clear that the roles are only a possibility. He even said he should have posted the game layouts before we started. If I had seen those I wouldn't have made this 'mistake.'

I can't come to a solid conclusion on a scum vote right now.

However, I don't remember reading any posts where JTs was on the offensive.

No, the roleblocker does not know what roles exist. BUT- the roleblocker ( in theory) would not exist without roles. That means, unless there was a REALLY bizarre line of thinking happening, He had to know there was a roleblocker out there.

There is a 100% chance a roleblocker is in this game.
There is a 25% chance that town does not have a power role.
Therefore it is quite possible (though slightly unlikely) that the roleblocker exists without any power roles to block.

So the consensus is that we should kill a highly likely townie just because he's not being very helpful? Even if there is a better chance at lynching a townie than a scum, at least vote for someone who's BS tactic shouldn't be believed.

My first post was admittedly risky (whatever my role may be). But it did spark conversation that has been interesting. Tom called my post BS and a tactic that no one should believe, yet we have 2 people jumping on the bandwagon, both without much of a reason.

On the other hand I find Nates reasoning completely void of anything concrete to stand on, which incited paranoia into Andy's vote for me.

There is a lot of discussion. The roles are becoming a little bit easier to understand. night is tonight real time so lets see what happens when scum make the hit. That will help town see that path that that townie was on so scum may slip up.

I still don't buy Tom's reasoning that JT is scum - with the knowledge he had the proposal he was talking about was much better for Town than Scum - as soon as the moderator set things straight he was no longer supporting the no-lynch strategy. I guess it COULD be an elaborate ploy to get us believing he is Town...but that seems a little far fetched. That said I'm less convinced Tom is scum even though he's still pushing for JT. What to do, what to do.

I feel like an earlier vote with no real indication that changing it is an option - even after all of the discussion and explanations for Kris' actions - and the statement that 'I won't be the deciding factor' speaks rather heavily as Scum, so for now I will let my vote sit with Nate.

Sure looks like a perfect scum tactic to claim they are "highly likely townie". Then divert attention to Andy and myself for jumping on band wagon. when i made several post stating i agree with other about saying your scum is a scummy thing to do.

I was eagerly waiting for this to be addressed. Now that it has been addressed, I feel more comfortable placing a vote to lynch for

I saw a lynch vote come from Nate, without much explanation. At the time it was understandable, but we got some really good explanation from Kris on why he said what he said. It is enough to change my mind and others. Nate isn't acknowledging that or justifying why we should continue to vote for Kris.

ok ok ok, I'm still torn on Tom, really want my vote to go to Tom as I truely do think he's scum this game. that said, just by the way some people type out there words I get a safer feel on some people being townies, and that go for Andy, Kris, Picklz, and Jay... everyone else I'm either unsure about or just not as strong a gut feeling on. Swanny and Nate are more leaning to Townies for me, but if Tom is scum, then I don't think JT is. If JT is scum, No way Tom is. So with that back and forth I still see one of them as scum and then the other likely being Swanny or Nate.

I'll send a new vote with Andy, Kris, and Picklz for Nate and we'll see what happens I guess...
