Looking for a volunteer with a Mazda 3.

What do you guys want see developed as a community? (Mazda community).

Intake systems?
Exhaust systems?
Intercooler systems?

Well, are you looking for a 3 or Speed3? I would assume a Speed3 since intercooler is an option. If not, a nice exhaust that makes good hp with a quiet tone would be nice for my 3.

I have a Speed3 i'd be willing to share.

Personally I wouldn't mind a good FMIC, or a TMIC with a better airflow option. I do not like how there dirt and shit getting into the induction area for the intercooler and getting all up in it. Not for me.

For reals though, if you are wanting to take a gander at my car, let me know. I like hanging out and drooling on other cars in speed shops, so this does not bother me at all.

I don't know if you guys are willing to make headers and midpipes, but there are a lot of Mazda6i 2.3L non-turbo guys on Mazda6club that are looking for something to buy.

Not to mention they could be easily adjusted, just the midpipe I believe, to work on the Mazda3s (same 2.3L).

It's a bit of an untapped market because no one makes any since most concentrate on the Mazdaspeed6.

Just throwing that out there as a 6i owner.

We are happy to accomodate all ideas and suggestions, at this moment in time we are pricing out and getting estimate from machine shops on how much it will cost and how many people we need for the initial buy in.
Please keep all suggestions coming as we are keeping track of this thread.

Aaron is right. We just got a quote back on the cnc machined adapter piece for the intake sensor on the speed 6. I have noticed that the same sensor is used on the rx8, I want to check a regular 6 and the 3's to see if they use the same sensor. If so, we are golden to mass produce some intake systems.

We are more than willing to prototype products for ANY market that needs help. We usually require 2 appointments for prototype cars.
1) For mock-up, measurements
2) For fabrication and dyno testing.

Prototype cars get parts at near cost+free install+free dyno work. We just require the car for 1-2 business days.

I am also actively looking into ECU tuning systems/solutions. The problem with the speed6 is the direct injection setup and finding something that can control it adaquetly.

Right now our shop is filled with a variety of cars, so we are more than just a "Mitsu" shop. We have Toyota's, Ford's, Mitsu's, Dodge's, Nissan's in here currently.

I need a Mazdaspeed3 in here for some fitment testing as well.
I also need a Mazda 3 and a Mazda 6 in to look at a few things.
We are looking at making intake and exhaust systems to start. We are also interested in developing a TMIC and FMIC system.

Josh, why don't you make a new thread on the specific cars you have & need and also combine that with info on updates for those project. With various models of the 3 and 6 it will be easier to see what you want in and also what you already have.

Also, any members who see intake and exhausts that are compareable to what you'd like to see done post up some links. We need to give them some options and directions as well.

Haven't forgotton about anyone! We are still awaiting our machined prototype pieces.

About ready to make one on the mill ourselves to get this ball rolling!
