Think I found my wheel/tire setup

After getting my summer wheels and tires stolen this winter I finally got my check from the insurance company. And after looking at wheels since they got stolen, I think I have finally come to a decision. I'm looking at getting the...
Rota SVN 17x7.5 offset 45

And after deliberating forever on tire sizing I think I narrowed it down to
235/45/17

This should give me the meaty sidewall I am looking for, and increase my grip from the 215's. I'm pretty sure with a fender roll I shouldn't rub, does anyone have opinions?

Don't pay any attention to our resident Honda troll lol.

I was considering SVN's but to get a custom size/color it was going to take too long / be a lot of work, I think they are nice looking wheels though.

I love the SVN's man, you'll do well on them.

Off chance, you weren't the one asking me about my rotas at C&C were ya? Someone was, and I TOTALLY blew referring them here.

yeaup that was me. I'm still trying to get a definite answer from Mazdas247, but from the size you are running, do you think 235/45/17 will fit well with a fender roll, while lowered?

Yeah, I'd be willing to bet you'd clear on a roll and a pull. I have a roller if you make it to one of our install days, rental is cheap :D

I'll make sure to bring vasoline if it's gona be that cheap. lol I'm down to make it to an install day once I get the wheels and tires ordered up. Once I bought a bike the car kind of got ignored for a while, but I love both equally now, and the car needs some new sneakers.

Cars always need new sneakers. But yeah, bring it down once the wheels are on it, and we'll get you set right up.

FYI - someone here recently found a goupon for Ventus V12's ($60 back I think) - do a search. I spec'd those - just waiting for wheels.

Yeah the V12's have a manufacturer rebate of $60 right now for a set of 4, I put them on my MS6 and love them so far (limited use thus far but still)

FYI - 235/45/17 is the stock Evo 8/9 tire size, so you will be able to find used tires from Evo guys if you ever need.

Can't wait to see em. If the SVN's had come in a 9" with the right offset, you'd have seen those under my car. I love the look of em, I just wanted more wide.
