My toy won't be here for a couple of months, but when the time comes...heck yeah! I just noticed quite a few people were talking about new guns they'd picked up and figured there might be some interest in going to an outdoor range where everything didn't have to be rented etc.

Some, if not more than a few, hit up the MN Garage Geeks weekly sonic meets. Others, including myself will post up (usually a week or so in advance at least) meet in the northern region, likely at Wagners. I'd love to see Wags turn into a twice a month deal.

Yeah, I get that the drive to Wagners isn't for everyone, but it's a nice place to sit and shoot the shit while eating some good food. Only downside is that it seems to be located in a wind tunnel. lol

LOL, all the bitching that wagners isn't central enough, and now we're talking Burnsville? You guys are hilarious. I'd maybe make one there if it lined up well enough w/ my work schedule. Sonic and Wagners seems to be a good mix though covering north and south, we could always do sonic on another night if people want a MNMazda south meet vs a everyone in the world south meet.

Sonic is a mother to get to from up here, maybe if the turnout was good. I went once and it was meh, felt shitty after that.

I'm not going to start the Wagners debate. I decided it wasn't happening under my watch because it was SEVERELY underattended, especially by the contingent that likes to bitch there's no meets north. I think I missed 3 weeks, two of them were due to the birth of my child. Sonic is about as central as we can get, for east/west/north/south. Seems like no matter what happens, half the people are gonna bitch about it being too far away. Fine, if you don't like it, don't fucking go. Want a meet closer to you? Organize it. I've laid out where I am going to be every week at the same time as I have every week for the last 6 years. We'll have other meets that people will beg out of at the last minute as always, we'll have people piss and moan that it's too far away, and invariably, I'll get accused of not doing enough about it, or some such nonsense.

TLDR? Qwitcherbitchin. Organize something close to you if you want it. End of discussion.

Who's bitching and moaning other than you about bitching and moaning?

Sonics was mentioned and suggested already, so nobody is bitching about that. Wagners was tossed out as an option but already made people aware it's limited and like this year, will probably only happen a few time this summer as an impromptu meet, though we do usually gauge interest a week or so in advance. Last year we did it on non Wednesdays to allow people to do both wags and Sonic.

I'm not going to arrange much outside a couple tint days this year (this weekends and one in the fall). Other than that my free time will be filled with range time, behind the wheel time, and oh yeah, being back in school full time - again. Should be another filled summer! :)

I know it isn't on the schedule yet, but Fast &Furious 6 at Vali-Hi drive-in anyone? I'm guessing it'll show up on their schedule in the next few weeks or so. Might be fun, eh? And those with kids can bring them along if they want op.

Only bitching I see so far is people saying "OMG Y SO MUCH BITCHING".

Basically, here's the situation. There is no official "mnmazda" weekly meet as it is. Some people are going to head down to Sonics, others are going to meet up in Wagners, maybe some other folks are going to meet up someplace in Bville. Do I blame Tom or anyone for that? Nope, just the fact that the core membership of this site hasn't changed since it was started many years ago, but our lives and situations have changed since then. In other words, we've fallen below the critical mass where you can name one time and one place and expect a sizeable number of people to show up. If getting a unified regular "mnmazda" meet back on the table is a priority, it's got to take that fact into account, or else the site needs enough new members with similar preference in meets to establish one. /topic
