Now I have heard this with many different brands of BOVs from Forge, HKS etc.. But Synapse has proven it with theirs.

I have a Forge I have yet to install but the Synapse is the BOV I wanted. I didnt know they made a flange for us.. But since it requires some drillage and press fitting(onto the flange) I would probably have MAP install a Synapse if I ever buy one... I guess ill see how long I can stomach the Forges sound.

The Synapse is a quality peace!

I <3 the Forge unit.... maybe we can work out a deal for your Forge if you get the synapse.... maybe.... we'll have to see how broke I am.

If one BOV makes power, then it's because the stocker leaks boost. In which case, any properly-designed valve is going to make power.

Interesting that they showed the stock boost curve, but didn't show the boost curve with their valve installed...... That, and I remain skeptical of ANY company's claims until they have been independently verified. I'm not buying that everyone who slaps on their BOV is going to see +25hp across the powerband.

That's what I was wondering as well Jay. If the problem is that it's leaking boost, why didn't they show that their valve is holding it better?

Yeah, BOVs dont add power... They just sound cooler.

Word, all that it would do is restore lost power. It would be like pulling a plug wire off, doing a dyno run, and then putting your brand of wire in and saying you got a massive power increase.

Except that they aren't pulling anything off to try and fake results... if it really is fubard stock, then their product really does what it says... I still want to see the chart for boost pressure showing it held better.

I noticed they posted it on April 1st, and I am awaiting their spokesperson on MSF to comment on if it was an april fools joke or not.. No response as of yet..

lol... that's a good thought, but if they were pulling an April Fools joke, they should have shown the speed3 maxing out the dyno or something!

^ I agree on their valve not adding power, or any other BOV for that matter. But when your stock piece leaks, it just gives you the power you should have seen from the beginning. Thats why I have not installed mine yet, I am going to do some datalogging with the stock piece and look at my boost numbers, then do the same with the Forge to see if it actually holds boost better etc.

I am really skeptical about everything, whoda thunk it? ;)

Tom if you get the Forge BPV from Jesse keep in mind you'll barely even here it with stock air box.

I do not know how you can not here something. But he may not be able to hear it ;)

the stock airbox makes everything dead quiet.
