So my father and his company are participating in some fundraising for the Special Olympics Minnesota and are taking the Polar Bear Plunge on Saturday, March 7th at 11am at Lake Calhoun Thomas Beach. I will also be taking the plunge and I figured I'll try and help raise money for the athletes and their families too. Below is the email I received and how you can help:

My firm and our CEO have been actively involved in Special Olympics Minnesota for the greater part of 3 years. I have personally witnessed how the funds raised from events like the Special Olympics Minnesota’s Polar Bear Plunge have helped the athletes and their families. The money raised by our team has been ear marked for the Summer Sports Camp which has given many of these athletes their first opportunity to be away from home. This has been a wonderful experience to build independence in the athlete and a much needed break for their parents.

On Saturday March 7th at 11am at Lake Calhoun Thomas Beach, my son, my 15 year old godson and I, along with several colleagues at JNBA, will jump into the icy waters of Lake Calhoun for Special Olympics Minnesota's Polar Bear Plunge! You can learn more and help raise money for Special Olympics Minnesota by visiting my web page (Click on the link below to make a pledge) and pledging your donation. $5, $10 or $50? Any dollar amount is greatly appreciated and can make a huge difference.

Thank you for your support.

Like it's tough to convince me. The crappy thing is my dad and his boss are complete ballers so they have thousands raised and my page just started. I also don't have any of my friends' emails, so I figure even if people chip in $5 it'll add up. Plus, it's going for a good cause.

Dude, you need to make this worth our while. If we can raise, say $200 from members here, you need to write MNMAZDA on your chest and wear a speedo. And get pics. But not of the speedo. Well, maybe for James. But you can PM them to him instead of posting. That is all.

ROFL!! Uhh... I don't know how well that'd fly since I'm representing my Dad's company. I'll talk to him, but I'm down for it.
