Sup guys.

I know I'm not the most active member on the forum, but, figure that posting this in a like minded community will help increase the visibility of the car.

I've loved this car and am hella sad to see it go, but, I'm planning another move out of state later this summer and this car doesn't fit into those plans.

For a true Mazdaspeed enthusiast, I personally think this is a great car up for grabs... but hey, I'm biased.

I'm copying the text from the current craigslist ad that's running, but, I think that if a forum member is truly interested, that'd be who I'd prefer to sell to and would be willing to be more 'flexible' on asking price.

Please let me know if anyone has any questions and please forward the listing on to any buddies looking to get into the zoom zoom world!

$16,999 asking price

For sale is my 2007 Mazdaspeed 6 GT (Velocity Red Mica) with 110k miles on the chassis and just barely 1,000 miles on the brand new short block professionally installed this winter by MAP (Modern Automotive Performance) in Cottage Grove. The break -- in period is just about over and the car is running better than the day I picked it up 3 years ago!

Stock 'features' include: AWD, 6 speed manual transmission, leather heated seats, moonroof, 6 disc CD changer with BOSE speakers, 2.3 liter turbocharged engine. . . these were just a few of the reasons why I initially fell in love with this car.

When the engine gave out this winter, a TON of work went into it while it was torn apart. (receipts for all work done available):

All Parts below are BRAND NEW
Super Stock Turbo
Stock Shortblock/Pistons/Rings/Rods/Crankshaft
VVT gear
Intake Cam
Exhaust Cam
Oil Cooler/Bolt
Oil Pump
ARP Main Studs
ARP Heads Studs
Timing Chain Tensioner
Corksport Oil Catch Can
Crankshaft Position Sensor
Power Steering Pump
100% redone head/ground valves/seats
Head/Valve Cover/Exhaust Gaskets
Valve Seals Intake/Exhaust

In other words. . . the future owner of this car gets a whole freaking NEW engine with this car!

Other goodies that come with the car (all installed within the past 1.5 years):

Cobb -- Accessport (pro-tuned)
Cobb -- Short Ram Intake
ETS- Top Mount Intercooler
Forge -- Bypass Valve
Grimmspeed -- ECBS
AWR -- Rear Motor Mount
M2 -- Downpipe
Magnaflow -- Catback Exhaust
PTP -- Stage 2 Fuel Rail Valve
PTP -- Stage 2 High Pressure Fuel Pump
PTP -- PCV Relocation
RPMC -- Turbo Inlet Pipe
BC Racing -- Coilovers
Corksport -- Interior LED's
Corksport -- LED Fogs
JBR -- Short Shift Plate
JBR -- Heavy Shift Knob
JBR -- Shifter Bushings
Konig -- 18 x 8 Backbone's wrapped in Yokohama S-Drives 235/40 18

While I'm looking to sell, I'm really not in a hurry to do so. For the right car enthusiast that has a passion for the Mazdaspeed platform, this is a deal you really don't want to pass up.

This is a steal of a deal on a limited production car tastefully modified and treated well with regular maintenance and a BRAND NEW engine ready for your smiles. **Note that the car is licensed in MN with tabs good through Sept 13 (pictures are pre-MN plates)

Serious inquiries. . . let's talk! I'd love to take you out for a spin and give you the full tour.

Email or call with questions and I'll reply with answers! If you're interested in seeing the car, leave your full phone number and I will call to arrange a showing.

Sadly, I completely drained my savings with this repair. With another move on the horizon I need to part ways with the one asset I have that's worth something. Trust me, the decision to sell has NOT been an easy one, but, I'm hoping the temptation of the brand new engine is worth something to a Speed lover.

If this move wasn't happening...there's no way I'd part ways with it. I kid you not... it runs stronger than when I bought it.

I've done a shit ton of watching online over the past few months and see Speed 6's with 100k miles still selling at that 12-14k price range. Anyone who knows anything about these bad boys knows those mileage ranges are the 'problematic' times of the car's life. I just clicked 1200 miles on the new engine... and let's just say the engine is "frisky"....

Hell... you've even seen the car.... ;) It's in great shape, no rust, all the basic mods covered... hopefully it can provide another 100k miles worth of smiles to someone who can appreciate it.

Moderator? Sheeeeit I OWN this bitch. That's worth at least double.
ha ha ha ha. Fail on my part... ;)

Price drop... seems I'm a bit out of line with the market. Changed online listing to $15,999.

Serious offers, let's talk!

Should also mention that I have almost all of the stock parts for the car that will go to the buyer as well.

Stock TMIC/Cover, boost controller, suspension, shift knob, a windage tray (not installed this time as balance shaft was left in new short block), motor mount, intake/tip etc... if that's something someone is interested in.

I'm not looking to sell these parts separate from the car, as I would prefer to give them to the new owner to do as they choose with them... figuring they can sell them off to get some cash back.

Thanks for looking!

If I didn't have a speed3 already I'd nab it up! GLWS! sucks to see a speed owner leave the platform. I hope you can get another one someday!

Bumpity bump... and price drop. Now listing at $15,499 online. Willing to be flexible on pricing for a forum member or member referral.

Of note... just finished the break in miles officially and just completed a fresh oil change to full synthetic Rotella T6 5W-40.

Thanks for looking and call or text with questions.

I'll have to show this to a friend who's in that part of town too. I already have a Speed6 and we just rebuilt my engine this past winter as well. Now I have to update my signature with all of the new stuff we did. But he knows alot about cars and the Mazdaspeed platform and has considered getting a speed6 or gen1 speed3 in the past. Maybe this is the one for him. GLWS and your loss could be his gain. Car looks great in pics and I like what you've done with it.

Thanks for the compliments... by all means, forward him the ad and have him shoot me a call. Seriously would rather sell this to an enthusiast who knows what they're getting!

Bumpity bumpity bump!

I'm lol'ing at the fact there's over 540 views on this post. Holy Hannah!

FYI.. any local interested parties contact me soon if still interested. I have a guy from Eau Claire working through financing options today... with a potential sale on the horizon.

Would LOVE to sell it locally so I can still see her around from time to time....

Any questions... ask away!

And.... again, thanks for looking!

Well folks, she's sold. 'twas a bittersweet day yesterday as I watched her new owner drive it away.

I appreciate everyone that contacted me with questions and thanks for looking! Keep on Zoomin' and I'm sure I'll continue to wave at speeds driving around the twin cities for a while until I remember I'm not driving one... weird.

Mods, can someone go ahead and close up this thread?
