oil change

So I checked the dipstick today in my MS3, I had an oil change 2 weeks (600miles) ago done by Morries Mazda. I noticed that the oil level was 1 1/2 inches over the full mark on the dipstick. Yeah.... the morons at Morries put 2 quarts over the full mark in the car. So I had about 7.5 quarts in it instead of the 5.5 recommended. Should I worry about it? I know oil froths up good when its overfilled that much, and getting churned by the crank. I haven't had time to crawl under it and look at any seals yet, but I'm more worried about any internal damage since I run it hard most the time, and its been 600 miles of all in town driving and a lot of higher revs. Thoughts.....?

I did have them redo the oil change, my question is could it of done any damage to the motor overfilling it by 2 quarts and driving it 600 miles with that much overfill.

I'M OFFENDED!
600 miles? Worst I can see is early fouling of the PCV, which these things are known for anyhow.

If there was any sort of damage to the internals, I'd imagine it would show up sooner rather than later...in which case, you'd be OK as you'd likely still be under warranty.

What the others have said already - also watch for any leaking as seals could possibly have seen some damage - .5-1quart I wouldn't be as worried about but 2 quarts is a lot.
