A new book finds that people have profound influences on each other's behavior within three degrees of separation in social networks -- both online and off. If this is true, why does it seem like nobody ever has the same tastes I do in groups I belong to?

There not making the point that everyone takes on every trait of others in there groups, of their friends, and friends of friends. If I remember what I heard from them on Sci Fri, there science is based on probabilities.
