Nitrous in a 2007 MS3

Since the main limiting factor on the MS3 is getting fuel into the motor, not air, I'm guessing it's not a very useful power-adder. Probably safe on a near-stock motor, but I personally wouldn't go that route.

There's 2 people who I know of that have ran/are running it (one sold his kit to the other). They were both fully-built, big turbo's, spraying 125 jets. Haven't heard of any issues yet, but you best know what you're doing.

www.mazdaspeedforums.org <---all the info. you need on modifying the MS3.

See crank.
See crank walk.
Walk, crank, walk!

But yeah, the DISI MZR responds pretty damn well to bolt-ons. I'd say get the basics covered: intake, full exhaust (or at least down/midpipe), upgraded CDFP, upgraded BPV, AP/Standback first. Once you get the requisite bolt-ons out of the way, see how you're feeling about the car and if it's still not enough, then start looking at spraying. There is plenty of worthwhile cash to be dropped on this car without resorting to NAWWWWWZ. And that's not even mentioning suspension mods.

Sounds like a instant case of DSM on your hands!

Yeah, but at least a DSM can make over 400 HP, ziiing!!

Pretty much the only mod he is missing out of that list is the AP.

What is a CDFP?

I didn't forget the AP ;)

CDFP = Cam-Driven Fuel Pump. It's the pump (driven off the cam-shaft) that sends the fuel up to ~2000psi at the fuel rail. There are upgrades to allow it to maintain pressure at higher power levels, otherwise the stock pump seems to run out of steam pretty quick.

I'd also recommend a port and polished intake mani with EGR and VTCS deletes. That'll help flow a ton more air, and I'm sure Jay also meant to include an exhaust mani when he said full exhaust.

As for the CDFP, in my eyes you really only have one option now, and that's the CP-e pump. The internals available right now are failing, and I'm not confident in installing the CDI or KMD ones at this point in time (yes, the KMD ones are showing up dead now too). Seriously, this CDFP issue is the most ridiculous thing I've had to read, and personally deal with, about this car. I won't even get into it...

I meant the only mod that Bhabes doesn't have that is on your list is the AP :D

I seen what CDFP meant about 30 seconds after I posted. Not being able to edit posts=fail :(

Yeah, this fueling system seems to really suck balls, but once a few people get it figured out I would think it should be pretty damn good.

Not sure if anybody caught it in my previous post but

I guess there has to be a first for everything..........

We have a MS3 that has 409hp. However, that's on 27psi, fully built block, and a big turbo. That's the highest MS3/6 number to date - and it's the only one over 400. We're getting there...lol
