Well placed my order today for the following:
Corksport Downpipe
Corksport Motor mount Inserts
PT-Performance SST KO4
PG V3 Mani.
CP-E Standback
CP-E Full Control Flash

Hope to get these all by mid Feb. and get them put on and have a tune done by MAP. Will post pictures as the parts come in and get installed. And waiting on PTP to get there fuel pumps in to upgrade that at some point, when I have more cash

Are you going to EWG the mani? Might as well weld the flapper on the K04 and do it right.

I would consider the CP-e 'Wall' flash too, but not with the K04...have you heard the big news on that yet?

Oh and don't even try to tune that without the PTP internals. I'm sure you knew that though lol.

What's with the shop installs?? Get a case and a few of us can crank this out in a few hours. Obviously tuning's a different story...

Alright pictures should be working now. And as far as shop install, I figured it would be easiest for a shop to do it since I am going to need some fab. work done for the exhaust system (high flow cat), plus i didn't/still don't know if anyone has access to the tools and resources necessary for putting in a new turbo, mani, dp, and exhaust system. However if there are the people with the tools and resources (since I don't think the knowledge part would be a problem), I would love to have and install party and provide all the beer/brats/pizza etc.. you could eat!

Between all the people here, I imagine we can come up with the required tools for such shenanigans. The only part I haven't heard of anyone here doing for sure is a new turbo, but I know JT had installed his own mani's and exhuast.

Since it's a stock turbo, all the lines on your old one will transfer to the new one; easy as hell to do since your mani and downpipe will be off so access won't be an issue. I don't have ratcheting wrenches but those are an absolute must for the mani install (pretty sure someone here has 'em). Set it up and I should be there.

I got a full set of ratcheting box wrenches (both std and met) from Sears on Black Friday. I'd be more than happy to bring them along, assuming this goes down at some time when I could make it. If not, I'd be willing to loan them out if no one else has a set.

what is daunting too me is the downpipe and mani., I have heard those are a pain in the ass and can be an all day event, just no much room to work in. Maybe an install of the standback and wiring, fuel pump internals(this has me confused), and boost gages, and a reinstall of my SRI.

^ They suck individually. When you're installing them at the same time it's pie because the other's not in the way. Does your downpipe have a cat? That might get in the way of the t-case when trying to jimmy it down. May have to feed that up but eitherway it won't be anything we can't handle.

Fuel pump internals were easy, just need a vise and some oil.

would we need a lift/ramp for this (I know it would make it easier, but it is it a requirement?) also would we need a hoist? I know it would make installing the engine mount inserts easier

I've never installed engine mount inserts. Are they for all the mounts?

I did a TBE install on jack stands. Not the most comfortable by any means, but it can be done.

well hell, what kind of beer and food should I pick up for the install day?! I am thinking install of the dp, mani, turbo, and fuel pump internals would be good. I don't really have much for tools other then your stranded wrenches and sockets. Would need a torque wrench, probably some stands, and the accompanying tools JT mentioned, which WD said he had

*edit- time frame, I am at the mercy of those offering to assist in this project, you let me know when would be good for you. I would like sooner rather then latter so I can finally play with all this installed.

Beer: Surly, lots and lots of Surly. Oh and Shocktop
Food: Brats and burgers, chips, pasta salad, beer

Tools: wrenches (regular and ratcheting), sockets (regular and deep), extensions, swivels (I have), a can of PB blaster, a vise, some oil, pliers, jack, 4 stands, torque wrench (not really necessary but for your peace of mind), and who knows what other misc. shit we'll all forget and need to run to the hardware store for.

What's your location? I'd like to do this in a heated garage if we're going to be installing this before mid March. Call me a pansy all ya want...

Location - Osseo, the garage is a two car garage w/ space heaters running full time, so it will be nice and warm.

Little over a half hour for me. Try and set up a date when Tom, Dan, Matt, Jay, etc are available. PM them with a date in mind. They're the other install guru's and have the tools we'll need.

I have: wrenches, sockets, extensions, swivels, some PB blaster (you should get more), jack, 2 stands I can't find, needle nose pliers.
