I know it's a little late to be getting this rolling, but that just means we have to get things nailed down quickly.

So, here's how things are going to work this year: We will be asking for a $5 donation to the site in order to register for the cruise. (when you submit your donation, please add a note that it's for the spring cruise) Upon receipt of your donation, you will be given access to a forum where general discussion of the route and itinerary will take place. The final meetup time and place will be sent out via PM ~24 hours before the cruise, and the final route will be handed out when we meet up. This is a fairly standard format that some larger clubs use to keep tabs on the number of people showing up, and to prevent a bunch of random folks from crashing the party.

The cruise this year is going to be similar to previous years--most likely SW Wisconsin down near the St Croix, possibly into SE Minnesota depending on what gets thrown up in the discussion thread. As usual, the meeting time will be early morning on a saturday or sunday. Which brings us to that date. Let's get a list of larger conflicts from late April - mid May, and then decide on a day from there. Once we lock in a day, I'll open up the registration process.

That said...
April 24, Sunday - Easter
May 8, Sunday - Mother's Day

I'm confused.
Hmm, now that I actually have a Mazda, I might have to get in on this, depending on the date picked.

Well okay, what kind of conflicts are we looking at for the following weekend (May 21/22)?

I think we're pretty much down to one of those two, until it starts to turn into a summer cruise :) Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Okay, so we've got the 3rd weekend in May (21/22) going once.... going twice....

I'll leave it open through monday evening for comments, and then lock 'er down if nobody has any objections.

As to a day, we've got one vote for a sunday. Anyone else have comments on sat vs sun?

We generally plot a scenic route through some backroads and twisties where you can shake the winter dust off your ride and *ahem* make sure your suspension is still up to snuff. There are some excellent windy roads in SW wisconsin (and they are typically smooth and well-maintained) that we will probably be driving. Typically we meet up in the cities around 7-8am then head out for the cruise, and things usually wind up with lunch and a nice leisurely drive home by early afternoon. I try to work in a destination or two where people can get out and stretch their legs.
