22 years old * and that's the going rate for these super low milage miatas. Unfortunately they will never really be a true collector because they made way too many of them. However, if I had the money, id buy it, do some cool work to it. (Fastback perhaps) hold onto it for a while without driving too much. Then sell it for no loss/gain.

It has about 30 days left before it gets sent off to the auction :(

I just hope an enthusiast would own this car... I hate sending cars to the auction, then other dealerships buy them and bump up their retail value again. It'll probably go for over $9K at another dealership after auction.

If it was closer to $4k I'd consider it, but the low miles doesn't do anything when you can clearly see the car has been at least modded a bit, so you never know what was on it, then taken off. 20k on the motor could be bad coming from the wrong person...

It's not bad-mouthing, it's truth. The issues with the B6 "short nose" motor have been well-documented throughout the last 2 decades. It's not the mileage that's necessarily bad, it's the motor. It WILL need replacing at some point due to crank nose failure assuming the rest of the motor is taken care of. It could be in 10k miles, it could be in 100k miles. I'd say the price reflects the fact that it's one of the "bad" motors. If this were a 94 with this kind of mileage, i'd expect the price to be closer to $10k.

And do note that i said that the price is reasonable. Someone will pay it for sure. :) Just the wrong time or year for it.

Indeed. There is a difference between bad mouthing and sharing info about a car. And even if it were bad mouthing. It would be against the car, not morries.
