Hail Damage and PDR

Sooooo the storm last night decided to dump an insane amount of marble or so sized hail at my house, and unfortunately the speed3 sits outside (for another 2 weeks or so).

The damage wasn't as bad as i expected, i need to clean the car and inspect it carefully but all I've noticed is some small dings on the roof. The Hood, spoiler, sides, mirrors, fenders all look ok at first glance.

Question is has anyone done the PDR thing themselves, someone at work mentioned taking the headliner out heating them up with heat gun (the little dings) and popping them out. Wondering if anyone here has any experience with that or if anyone knows someone that does it.

Also looking for body shop suggestions, I'm going to be calling progressive tonight to see about getting a claim started.

If you bought your car from Morries, they gave you a little orange book of coupons. One of the coupons is for one free paintless dent repair. I would try using that first.

At any rate, get the insurance money for that repair first! Then what you decide to do with it is up to you.

I went to morries for my PDR and they did awsome job .. I would highly recommend them

Yeah i think that coupon is for 1 dent, dont think they would do all of em for free hehe. I will check Mories after I get the claim resolved and see what they think.

E's gonna need new panels from the sound of it. Also, Morries did an obscene job on Micahs car. The paint on the damaged area was actually better than the factory paint. Their body guys are no joke. I knew there was a reason I like them.

They did the work on my car. I got there and saw some 5 series BMWs outside and I was like wow, looks like they just pulled the cars out. Nope. To make room for my car they pulled out a new Ferarri, a new Porsche, and a few other sweet BMWs. I brought my laptop and sat and surfed the web for a bit on their free wi-fi and walked out paying a lower price than I was quoted.

These are the guys that also get the high end MN dealership cars. If you go there ask to see the differance between the 3M clear bra and their clear bra they suggest. It's night and day and I'm putting that on before the snow flies once they do my touch up on the hood of my car.

Sounds like my body guy. Runs a shop called Westside collision over in Eden Prairie. Ressurected my Talon after some coffin-dodger stuffed his Outback into the passenger side of the car. Walk into the guys shop and he has probably 500k or more in corvettes new and old that he is restoring, plus his own convert on the showfloor. Best black paintjob I ever saw. Not to mention the street rods he was building, the lowrider in the back, the Cougar some gomer was getting a bodykit on (yick, I know) and my uncle Glenn's 71 'Cuda that as a result of Cossette's resto, is worth 100 grand. This guy is incredible.

Yeah, I'll never go to run of the mill PDR places again. Top notch is where it's at. On that note I'll give a big FUCK OFF to the PDR guys at Luther off of CR81. Overpriced assholes.
