UPDATE 8/2/2010: Test sets will be here Wednesday!!
UPDATE 7/22/2010: Test order shipped out

Hey guys,

I'm gonna be ordering a complete chassis brace set for the Mazda 3, 6 and protege to test the product and possibility sell if everything turns out good. I've already talked to Matt and Jay and will be applying for forum sponsor if I do decide to sell these on the site. I also posted in the Mazda247 site: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123780150. I'm on there more often.

These are the parts I've ordered and will be testing (no pics yet, read on):
Mazda 3:
- Front Strut Bar
- Mid-chassis Brace
- Trunk Re-enforcement Bar
- Front 4-Point Brace
- Rear Panel V-Brace
- Lower Tie Bar
- 4 Point Ladder Brace
- Rear Strut Bar

Mazda 6:
- Front Strut Bar
- Trailing Brace
- Rear Sub-Frame Re-enforcement Brace
- 4 Point Mid-Chassis Brace

Mazda Protege:

- Front Strut Bar
- Lower Tie Bar
- Rear Panel V-Brace
- 4 Point Ladder Brace
- Rear Strut Bar

I'm trying to see if there is any interest before I go on. I'm also trying to see if there are any Mazda 3/6/Protege owners willing to volunteer so I can test the fitment and take pics of these. I can give you a great price if you do.

If all is successful, I will either be doing GB's or have inventory. I've also been looking at a lot of other products, but would like to start with these. Please post if these products are something you'd be interested in or if you would like to volunteer for test fitments!

Thanks for looking!

Tony

Sure, I'd be down for some test fitment.

Awesome! That's great! I'll let you guys know as soon as they arrive. I'm expecting them the beginning of August.

If there are any regular Mazda3's too, I would like to confirm if there is a difference between it and the speed3. Likewise for the 6 and ms6.

Also, just want to be clear, for the test set, there is no obligation to buy or anything. I just want to see if it fits and take pics! Thanks!

MAD LIGHTS YO
i can test fit stuff for the 6, altho i won't be buying anything soon.

FYI, there's already a '- 4 Point Mid-Chassis Brace' (if i'm thinking of the same thing).

Awesome, thanks! Do you mean there is already a stock brace there? With a lot of these braces, they are replacements for the heavier/uglier stock braces. For example, I know the MSP already has a 4-pt ladder, but it's damn ugly and weighs probably 5 times the aluminum ladder

The only difference between the ms3 and the regular 3 is going to be the front strut tower bar. There's no TMIC in the reg 3 to get in the way, otherwise all the mount points etc are identical.

hm, I see. I thought the MS3 always had a strut bar...

Guess not. That will be interesting. So for those with FMIC's installed, the strut bar should fit?

Not sure if your strut bar effects this or not but one of the stiffeners (both circled above) is different on the MS3 vs Mz3. On a Mz3 both stiffeners are like the one on the driver side; the passenger side on a Mz3 doesn't have the part that juts off and attaches to the fire wall.

Yeah, FMIC=tower bar. Jurgen happens to have one that has an FMIC- for that matter- it USED to be an mz3!

I see. We'll have to just throw it on and see if the strut tower bar works lol

Looks nice man!

How long do you expect the test fitment to take? If you're not in a huge hurry, I've got a spare car lined up in a couple of weeks so you take a couple of days if you wanted.

Thanks! They are even more beautiful in personal. It should only take 3-4 hrs including the photoshoot, so I think we can get it done in one sitting.

These are the cars I'm hoping I can test fit these on:
-Protege
-Protege5
-Mazda3 Sedan
-Mazda3 Hatchback
-Mazdaspeed3
-Mazda6
-Mazdaspeed6

I will try to make the weekly Wednesday meet and bring some parts for people to actually see.

Heh, I can still volunteer for the speed3 fitment. Especially if it's only going to take that long. Now I know you probably won't say this in public... but define "cost"? I kinda want these, especially if they're cheap, but I'm tryin' to buy a house too, so I need to know what kinda scratch to have available.

Only 3-4 hours, eh? I'd better spray down my entire chassis in PBlaster... lol
Yes! That would save us a lot of energy lol
