Due to a screw-up at Morries' parts department, I ended up getting the wrong oil filter housing for my 3. I had planned on doing the spin-on conversion, and while Morries ordered the correct part, they got (and I received) the wrong one. And in true DrWebster fashion, I didn't check the part numbers when I got it in November and just noticed the error now. It's too late to return it to Morries, so I'm selling it here instead.
What I ended up getting is the spin-on filter housing for the Mazdaspeed 6. It's different from the regular 6 and 3 housings in that it's designed to work with the stock oil cooler in the speed6. I also have the replacement gasket for the housing that I'll include with it. So, with this housing and gasket, you can convert your speed6 to use the cleaner, easier, simpler spin-on filters (and it'll let you run oversized filters too).
I'm asking $40 for it, which is $10 cheaper than what I paid for it. If interested, shoot me a PM or give me a holler if you see me in the shoutbox.
