Flag football Sundays

Alright... instead of discussing it in the other flag football thread, lets discuss it here so people can actually find it if they aren't reading the other thread.

Last Sunday we had fun with only 6 people, so lets try and get the planning right this time and get more people to show up.

Where: Park in Golden Valley (Link)
When: To be discussed
What: Flag/Touch football


The park listed above seems to be a fairly central location and was pretty nice. There's parking right where the pin is on the map (if you flip to sat view you can see it) and there's a soccer field right there we can play on.

The only question now is, what time works for people? I'd be down for every week, but it sounds like some people think every two weeks would be easier. Every two weeks, the next Sunday would be Sept 7th.

Another concern would be time. I'm sure people don't want to get up too early. Start at 10, play till whenever?

i think every 2 weeks would be fine, that gives people recovery time. The soccer field was perfect, provided a softer landing when you were brought down as opposed to the area we were playing on at first.

I think every two weeks is nice, gives time for recovery. 5 on 5 max size with subs would be suggested for flag football, otherwise it gets to be a ton of players out there.

I'm good with Sundays, but yeah, I generally want to be home by noon:30-45 as I can DVR the first 30-45 min of the early game and FFW through the comericals.

Okay, so 10-12ish sounds good to most people, I'll leave this here for a while longer, and if more people are down, I'll make an official planned event post.

Have to see what's going on this weekend. Since we are moving Saturday, that might restrict my free time. I'd like to come, I'll let ya know.

There is only 4 people right now, in otherwords that doesn't make 7 and I'm not coming. If there is more post or call, if I show up and there is 4, I will keep driving.

AJ and Nash (probably not cause AJ's a pansy)

Unless AJ commits to showing up by Saturday night, or we get a couple more people, this is a no go.

If AJ and Nash showed up, that'd be 5... enough to play IMO.
