Detail Day in Blaine 2:30pm - Max 10 people.

This is a free event where you learn about the products he sells and how to use them.

You also get a chance to use the products (and buffer) on a test car. I've never used a buffer so this was awesome to me.
The day I went to we had guys that get paid to detail taking tips from Randy because he is that good.
There is no obligation for anything, you can show up and buy stuff or show up and talk shit about it after, Randy doesn't care he just genuinely has a passion for this stuff and wants people to learn about it.

I know I'm thankful for the knowledge and I'm going to buy my stuff through him. Plus he is always open to questions anytime.

This is not a one time only event, but I understand without a set date that its hard for people to commit. As long as I can get enough people there will be more.

We only covered buffer stuff and car wash stuff, there are a lot more question and stuff I want to try out like wheel and tire care, leather, interior.

I have this on multiple forums too, so once I hit 10 its done this time around.

Drinks and snacks will be provided.

Like I said, it seems like a cool idea, there just weren't really any details about what exactly was going on. TBH, there's still really not.

Just a bunch of people going to Randy's house and getting tips on car detailing, and then maybe buying stuff from him?

What brands/products does he sell and why would I buy from him and not someplace else?

Ya don't have to be a douche - the questions being asked are legitimate, how do I know if I want in or not if I don't have any idea what this is besides for 'a detail day' which is pretty broad.

Some actual details about what is going to be going down would be nice - what products is he using/demoing/selling, what is going to be shown? How to claybar? how to polish? etc. Is he using a DA or Rotary for polishing? Also this is just a demonstration/Q&A/Sales thing not actually doing anything to your own vehicle correct?

Think of it like an event 3M would put on to showcase products and demonstrate use with the ability for purchase at the end of the event if wanted.

That's what I get out of the post, it's just an individual who obviously does this and is putting it on. I know all those already signed up, some of you do as well, so should be a good time.

This event is put on by Randy & Dan of Northstar Detail Supply, they will be using Zaino and optimum cleaning products during this demonstration. I'm sure there are a few other brands but they will only sell what they have used.

He will be demostrating clay bar, buffer, rubbing compounds, car wash cannon, i asked if he could demo some wheel cleaner not sure if that will happen though.

Hopefully that answers all the questions, sorry I thought all the info made it on here but it didn't.

I was going to see about going but Beer Fest is also this Saturday and I'm currently supposed to be working that, though the guy setting it all up hasn't gotten back to anyone about where and when yet...

We are throwing together a little Detail Demonstration Day in Blaine to showcase the products offered by Northstar Detail Supply. The plan is to start around 2:30pm and go until 5-6pm-ish. We will demonstrate the use of the clay bar, paint defect removal and polishing, applying sealants and waxes, while using the products we sell from great manufacturers like Zaino, Optimum Polymer Technologies, Lake Country, Griots Garage, Meguiars, Grit Guard, and more. If there is interest, we can do a foam cannon/foam gun demonstration, leather cleaning / conditioning, etc. Think of it as a try before you buy event. This is a no obligation demonstration. Just show up, ask questions, play with all the stuff, and have fun.

Along with all the great products mentioned above, we'll also have a lot of high quality microfiber towels (polish removal, drying, general purpose, etc.), microfiber aprons, microfiber gloves, microfiber applicators and microfiber wash mitts available for sale.

The usual format is to have a demonstration car and try the products out on the hood or deck lid. Participation is strongly encouraged as this is a "hands on" demonstration.

Thanks again for setting this up Aaron. Randy and Dan were great and they put on an excellent demonstration. I had a lot of fun and learned a ton, and I loved how they let us get hands on with all the stuff. Don't understand the negativity that was brought into this on here, it was a legit deal and lots of fun. Even Curt showed up who already is a detailing guru, and I'm sure he still took something out of it.

Thanks again man, I'd highly recommend this to anyone else considering going in the future. I will be picking up some stuff from them in the future.
