Hey all,

Just wanted to put out a feeler for an upcoming MNmazda event. We are looking to get a group together for a little kart racing action. I have not decided a date, nor do I have any cost information at this point. I just want to get an idea of whether or not people are even interested. Based on the responses, I will call and get pricing for our group. So, just vote above...

The event will be similar to ProKart for those of you familiar with that. But, Matt D. said the Karts at Stockholm are nearly 33% more powerful and the course is outside. So, you will sun in your eyes and definitely a lot bumpier ride. Should make for a pretty cool outing. Let me know if you have other questions. Thanks! :wetpants:

- 2hrs Total Track Time.
- $595 (Tax Incl) for up to 10 people ($59.50/person).
- $40/ea. Every person over the original 10.
- Only 20 total people allowed.
- $119 Deposit at time of reservation - rolls into the $595 total fee.
- Oct 4th from either 11am-1pm or 1pm-3pm are available.

So I need 10 people FOR SURE and we can make it a go.

Stockholm is an awesome place. I believe a book of five 10-minute runs is $50. Some may think it's spendy, but ProKart is $20 for an 8-minute race, and it's indoors on a short and narrow track where as Stockholm is outside on an alsphalt track with curbs, rumble strips and grass on both sides of the track. The only downfall of Stockholm is no timing for rentals.

It's located just east of Cokato on highway 12, about 45 minutes from Minnetonka. There is a nice bar right on the highway in Long Lake called Red Rooster, would make for a good after-event stop.

Yeah, if you break it down, its like a $1/min at the regular rate. I dont know if they would do any discounts for a group, but I will certainly call and find out. Either way, $50 for 5 races with fast karts sounds pretty fair to me.

It'll all depend on the date and where I'm at with house shopping, as long as I'm able to afford it I'm there, sounds like an awesome time. I've driven by the track and it looks like an awesome place to race.

Well I work a lot of Sats as well, so maybe I will look at a Sunday. We never have Sunday events anyway.

I will leave this poll open a few more days and then maybe next Monday or so I will call to see if we can get any type of group discount... Let the BSing begin.

The site mentions the 5 races for $50 deal.

FYI, if you can get 10 racers you could do the party setup it looks like, where for $595 ($60 per racer) you get 2 full hours with practice, qualifying, competition and trophies. For an extra $10 that'd be cool as heck if we get 10 people in for a date.

Excellent find. I think that sounds like a lot of fun. Plus, with trophies and bragging rights it seems well worth the extra dough.

Are people feeling the $60 fee for the two hours worth of racing, training, trophies, etc?? Maybe Matt D can chime in on this, but it sounds like we get a lot more for our money.
