Anyone need stuff smoked/tinted/blacked out?

My old boss is planning on blacking out my sidemarkers and reflectors, while possibly tinting my tail lights too. He said the waste of products used is pretty much the same whether it be one light or 30, so I'm seeing if you guys are interested in doing this.

He used black paint to tint them. I'm pretty sure he wetsanded them, and he also clearcoated them.

I have no idea on cost right now, but it should be very reasonable (I wanna say the $30-75 range depending on what you get done).

Also not sure on time as he typically works every single day, but I'm trying to get this done in a 2 week time frame.

Here's some pics of what he's done - he also shaved the tailgate and removed the handle, while painting the rollpan and tinting the tails.

If interested, post your username and what you'd like done. Also mention how much tint you'd like (post a pic for reference).

UPDATE: Spraying will be done on Friday, June 5th. So, I NEED parts by Thursday, June 4th. I plan on being at Porky's on the 3rd, which will likely be the best time. If you can't go, PM me and we'll figure out a time. I will ask for your phone numbers to schedule pick-up times at my place in Burnsville.

Pricing:
$75 for tails
$30 for markers

1.) JohnnyT - blacked out sidemarkers and reflectors, tinted tails.
2.) mndsm - tail lights and reflectors
3.) StealthSpeed3 - dark smoked tails
4.) YSOSLO - smoked sidemarkers

I might be up for having my side markers done....the tint on them right now is subtle and more of a brown than black or dark gray. Any chance he could permanently put yellow tint on my fogs?...so I can ditch the overlays? That would be very cool.

Not sure on the yellow, he'd need the paint for it and honestly if it's just for the fogs I'd consider it a waste. It'd end up costing you more for the paint to justify it.

I could be interested in this, if down time was minimal....
Downtime would be Friday-Sunday maximum. Of course, you'd have to come pick them up at my place unless you wanted to wait for a Porky's meet.

Ohh, you're looking to leave your car there? I'll have to check with him on that as I might have a buddy doing that as well.

I'M OFFENDED!
Nah, I'd take all the parts off and deliver them, we do have the Mini... but I don;t wanna be stuck sharin' cars for too long. Taillights are kinda important for being able to drive it.

As long as you can get me what you need tinted before Thursday I can get it done. My schedule's pretty flexible...

Just to let very one know it is 100% illegal to alter the shade of any stock lighting on your car.

That said i have the tails on my Denali at least as dark as that z.

JT - i'll see what i can do. will prob be back sometime wed afternoon so i will try to make it to porky's.

Found this while searching regarding legalities of it:

'quoted from my DOT safety training class, as long as the taillights and headlights still visibly reflect light with the lights off, they are legal.'

So maybe i won't go that dark, maybe a 20% shade or something to that effect.

I think Adrian is right. I recall researching this as well, and concluding that the statutes were worded in terms of the lights/reflectors being visible from a given distance, rather than saying anything about the clarity/tinting of the housing. Though, there may well have been a part elsewhere in the statute explicitly stating that tinting any factory light housings was illegal.

from the same thread i found the other quote:

'As long as you can clearly see you tail lights from 500 feet your fine(quoted directly from a state cop)'
