Anyone interested in going camping this year? I think it is about this time of year when the plans normally start rolling. Let's see how many are interested and then I can go from there.

THIS. I'm honestly not sure if I'll be up for camping this year. At least not in a tent and not near the water. LOL

We'll be fine, we'll either drink more so we pass out and the sound doesn't bother us, or we'll bring ear protection (and still drink more).

Oh, but can we not come back this time and go right to buying a new car? lol

You guy would be a lot more comfortable in a camper I'm sure, especially if we go somewhere that has hookups (or maybe look for a place that has cabins + campsites)?

Ok, next question...Northern, Southern, Western or Eastern MN?

Perhaps consider Western Wisconsin too?....it would eliminate the hassles of returning a keg on Sunday, since liquor stores are open 7 days a week over there.

I gotta say, tubing is a blast! tie various beer filled tubes up, and just get plowed while floating down the river with random beach stops for some grilling or something.

There's a campground in Black River Falls that has a group campsite right along the river and they offer tubing from up the river back down to the campground. I'll have to track down the link, but I've thrown it out there as an option last year and the year before, I think. We went with some friends about 5yrs ago and it was awesome! They have a few cabins for rent too, IIRC.

Yeah Pete, that sounds like pure win as well.

On my link to IA, I would be able to arrange a few things on that end since it's 10 min from my hometown (2.5 - 3 hr drive from the mid metro straight down 52). A 2 day stay could involve some intown fun as well if included.

Another option could be the Lansburo area... that's always a fun drive.

I'm down to go camping, but I don't check the forums enough to know when it happens... would someone be willing to email me when decisions start getting made?

Also amy and myself need at least 4 weeks in advance to ask off from work.
